Chapter 93

I had stepped out of the gate with the few guards I took with me; I couldn't feel the initial panic I felt from the mate bond; she was calm now, but that didn't mean I should be.
I had tried reaching out to her severally through the mate bond, but she only kept quiet. I guess she hadn't gotten a hang of using it yet.
I still had a weird feeling looking at the almost invisible building close to the pack gate so I decided it was high time I checked it out to avoid regrets later.
'A few of you stand by, the rest follow me." I directed, and they followed me into the house.
I only took four steps but I heard his voice already. ‘Listen to me Moon!' reverberated in the almost empty and abandoned building.
How dare he lay a hand on her! Folding my hand in the air, I stopped the rest from following me.
'Stay here; I will give a signal when it's time," I whispered to them, and they nodded at me.
Following the direction of the light, I came to a pause at the door as every word from Moon and Aiden found its way into my heart, shredding it in bits.
The more he kept revealing my secrets to her, the more I kept hating on him. Couldn't he keep to himself and let me handle things about myself?
I know I should barge in on him to stop him from talking but looking at it from Moon's perspective, I know I would only end up riling up her curiosity and suspicions, so I stayed back.
'I'd rather be with Liam." She told him, but I felt the strong emotions behind those words, even from the mate bond.
She felt wronged and I felt sorry. I needed to act quickly, but there was nothing I knew I could do.
Listening to her responses, I knew something within Moon was gone, she had changed. This wasn't the Moon who left me some hours ago, I knew I needed to do something.
‘I am here now, Moon; I swear I will explain everything to you.' I reached her through the mate bond before peeping in again.
I saw her still first and the next thing was her loud voice in my head.
‘Shut the fuck up!'
I almost jumped at her startling voice in my head, my chest felt stuffy, and for the first time in a long while, I felt tears in my eyes.
It felt like choking, swallowing felt painful, and it was difficult to breathe, knowing I had broken her trust and would take a while to build it back.
Did she know how to use the mate bond all these while but kept mute about it? I knew one thing for sure and that was the fact that she knew I was here already. Could she sense me?
As painful as it was, I watched her being tied up on the chair without any hope of moving away. I wanted to go in but seeing Diana step out made me pause in my steps.
I was right then, Diana was the master planner behind all these. My pain turned into anger and it didn't take too much hesitation to release my wolf.
Watching everything play out and Aiden's profession for my mate, my anger tripled, and it kept increasing till Diana was about to strike Moon in the face.
I found myself behind Moon, ready to hold Diana's hand in midair only to see Moon stand up in a flash, and in an action my eyes could barely keep up with, Diana was sent flying to the opposite side of the room.
Her back hit the wall with a thud, and knowing my half-sister, I knew she wasn't good at handling physical pain. She was more weak than human when it came to this aspect.
I watched Moon stand in shock; her eyes didn't leave her hands for a while. I knew something had changed but I wasn't ready for this amount of change.
Where did she get such an insane amount of strength from? Did the mate bond make her this strong?
I could only watch alongside Aiden as Moon walked towards the groaning Diana, squat beside her, and, with a trembling hand, pulled the pendant from her neck and hit it on the floor with a strong emotion.
I could feel the hate in her actions but I didn't understand why she did that. Was there a connection between her and the pendant?
Despite being in an unfavorable situation, Diana slowly shook her head in refusal as she reached out her hand towards the already smashed pendant.
Moon, whom I suspected to be blinded by rage, kept stomping on the pendant till it was barely recognizable; even Diana's fingers weren't spared either.
When I saw a bit of red liquid flowing out of the broken pendant, my brain clicked. This was almost the same method I used with Kia, was this where her powers were stored?
I felt useless and helpless. I looked at Aiden, whose eyes were on me too, and I frowned.
'Please take care of her." He swallowed, then blinked, and tears left his eyes. I felt touched, I had goosebumps wash over my skin at his actions.
'I can't give her what she wants, I hope you can." He looked away from me, his eyes on the ongoing scene.
I saw him crouch down, holding his chest in agony as he screamed out. Before moving to hold his head, still screaming.
I recognized what was happening; he was under Diana's spell, and he was resistant.
How could she still do this even in this state? Deciding that I had enough, I moved to Moon who was breathing heavily but showing no sign of stopping anytime soon and held her from behind.
The sweet tingles of coming in contact with my mate washed over me, and I am sure she felt it, too, because she eased into me.
Her body was still jittery, but she eased into me, looking for a spot on my body without clothes where the tingles were more.
While Diana lay on the floor with her half-closed eyes looking up at us. I carried Moon in my arms only to see her darkened, elongated fingers.
My eyelids batted themselves continually trying to figure out what was happening. I knew I couldn't sense her wolf from the first day we met. How come she had her nails elongated?
Soon, I began to see furs on her skin. Something was happening and it wasn't nice. I need to leave here as fast as possible.
