'Liam?" Kia called, straightening up and clearing his throat.

'Where have you been? Your mum, she…"

'Kia!" Serenity warned, her fierce fox-like eyes eyeing him.

'It's okay."

Serenity turned to look at Liam, and her eyes widened; she raised her hand to touch his hair, examining it closely.

'Hey, Liam? What's up with your hair?"

'It's the old man, I don't want to talk about him yet. What happened to your chin Kia?" Liam diverted the topic, moving away from Serenity whose eyes stayed glued to him.

'You know the deal already. Can I have this?" Kia asked absentmindedly; he didn't mind the alarming number of injuries he secured so long he was able to get something into his stomach.

Liam looked at his homeless friends and felt guilty about their condition. His wasn't great either, but it was better than not having a roof over your head.

'Give me some time, I'll get you guys a permanent place to sleep." He assured them.

'Can I just have this first?" Kia was almost swallowing the can whole.

'Sure, yeah." He responded and watched Kia hurriedly pour the content of the can into his mouth after opening it.

'Can we walk you down?" Serenity requested.

'It isn't safe to…"

'We'll make sure to keep a distance. At least we would be sure you're fine and alive." She persisted.

Liam looked at Kia, whose attention was on the almost empty can; he didn't care as far as he got something into his stomach.

'All right, but keep a distance." Liam turned and Serenity blushed.

'You are so obvious." Kia jokingly elbowed Serenity who covered his mouth in return.

'Sshh!" She whispered, eyeing him.

'Liam." A voice called keeping them alerted.

Seeing the shadow ahead of them, Liam heaved a sigh of relief.

'It's nothing to be afraid of guys." He assured them.

'Come." He led them forward.

Olivia stood watching the trio in the dark. She had let go of Diana after Jennifer had caught the little girl on her lap and started to abuse her.

She worried about why Liam wasn't back yet and decided to check, only to see him being trailed by two rough-looking teenagers.

She wasn't sure of them and didn't want to put either Liam or herself in danger. She had to call him out to put them off guard but he only turned to assure them.

Liam looked at Aunt Olivia's shadow and wondered why he had this strong trust towards her. He felt protective of himself, especially after his stay in the Silverstone pack.

He couldn't trust anyone completely, not even Kia and Serenity. How come he was able to put this much trust in her?

He walked towards Aunt Olivia who took small steps towards him.

'Your friends?" She asked and he nodded.

'Come in with me." She told them and turned to leave.

'Your stepmom?" Serenity whispered to Liam who shook his head at her.

'But isn't it dangerous to bring them in Aunt Olivia?" Liam's face was in a deep frown.

She turned towards him and bent her back till she was at his eye level; his yellow orbs stared into her deep green ones.

Placing a hand on his shoulder, she smiled a little. 'It isn't if they will be obedient. It's a rogue pack; there is no loyalty except to the Alpha, and there are no laws, too."

'Bring your friends in if they want to come in. I am lonely, by the way; taking them in isn't a bad idea." She walked in.

Liam shrugged at his street friends who shrugged back at him and followed him in.

'Where is Liam?" Alpha Victor's domineering presence filled the room.

'How would I know?" Jennifer took a protective stance.

Alpha Victor took a stick of cigar and was able to light it.

'All you know how to do is smoke! Do you not care for your lungs?" She pursed her lips to prevent her eyes from watering.

Victor's shoulders quaked a little before he looked meaningfully at her.

'You care?" He mocked.

'Victor! I am your mate and Luna of your pack and mine." She stated as a matter of fact.

'My mate?" This time, he had the cigar lit, blowing off rings of smoke with his legs crossed, and his eyes were half closed.

'You have a pack?" He tilted his head to the side and smirked.

Jennifer sat down with a force that made the bed squeak; she was red with anger.

'Don't tell me you are seriously asking me that question." Jennifer retorted, clenching the bedspread as she glared at him.

Alpha Victor was leisurely sitting on the couch in her room, puffing out smokes in all directions.

'I didn't know you had a pack I wasn't aware of." Victor smiled a smile that made Jennifer redder.

She would have puffed out smoke from her ears if Victor continued to annoy her.

'The Blood Moon pack, Victor. The Blood Moon pack was my father's pack and is now mine, ours." She explained impatiently.

'The Blood Moon pack?" Victor tilted his head like he didn't get her words at first before giving hacking laughter that made him cough for some minutes.

Jennifer stared at him in confusion before turning to little Diana and mouthed, ‘Go and play with your siblings.'

Diana's curious eyes went from her father, back to her mother before going to her father again.

'Leave." She turned her towards the door and gently poked her back.

When the door got shut, Jennifer's whole attention was on Victor.

'Victor?"

'The Blood Moon pack belongs to me." He declared after composing himself.

'You can't be serious!" Jennifer's eyes desperately searched his face; she was almost at the edge of the bed, ready to pounce on him.

'What do you mean?" Victor blew another ring of smoke her way.

'The pack…"

'Shhh…" He had his index finger on her lips instantly, his eyes pierced into hers.

'That is the consequence of forcing yourself on me. The pack belongs to me, and I will give it to whoever I choose to."

His voice was deeper and lower; his eyes were more intense; it made Jennifer confused. She hadn't been touched for a long time and his action stirred up something in the pit of her stomach. She didn't know if she should be angry at his words or horny at his actions.

'So tell me, where is my son?" He asked in that same manner, his index finger had moved to her neck, sparking tingles all over her body.

'I don't know…" She paused when she felt something poke her neck.

It started as a pinch, before growing into a painful pierce. Victor had his index finger elongated.

'Don't joke with me." His voice was still low and deep but threatening.

'You abused him, starved him, and locked him outside. Is that right?" He smiled playfully at her but she knew better than to believe his smile.

'He almost killed a man!" She yelled, she was having a panic attack already.

'And you haven't?"

Diana wandered in the hallway before going into the study to meet her siblings.

'What do you want?" Her immediate elder sister was by her side in seconds, she could teleport.

'I…"

'Please leave, don't interrupt us." Another one ordered from her seat.

Diana looked up at her sneering sister in tears, her lips were trembling.

'Weak." She commented and was at her seat in a blink of an eye.

Diana walked out dejectedly, tears blurring her eyes. She had desperately sought to have an ability till she found out about hers but was mocked because it wasn't useful if she couldn't endure physical pain.

Walking outside, Diana paused at the sight of Liam's narrowed gaze at her.
