Chapter 79

Watching Liam leave the room and make sure it was properly locked, Harper brought out a forged key and opened the door.

Walking into the room, she tried to control the jealousy and anger burning fiercely in her heart.

So what if she was mated to him? He knew her first? Her plans worked, she smiled at herself as she stopped by the mirror to admire her beauty. She would pin him down with it, and knowing her Alpha, he would be left with no other choice than to allow her to take her right.

She refused to look at the lady on his bed on purpose. She had tried denying it, but it was true that he had picked her solely because of her resemblance to her.

Humming to herself, she walked towards his wardrobe, her hands running through every piece of clothing in there, the smell of him as strong as ever, and she made sure to take in deep whiffs of him.

'Liam?" A weak voice called, and she paused, the blood in her veins getting hot.

With a controlled smile, she turned to look at the girl lying on the bed, her eyes open and looking at her in confusion.

Harper walked towards the girl on the bed, her steps faltering when she noticed something on her neck. She stood still looking at her, her eyes only on the covered part of her neck.

'Who are you?" The lady on the bed asked in a weak voice; her throat was parched, and she needed water.

Moon kept looking at the lady which looked almost like her. From her curly brown hair to her green eyes. It felt strange to see a person with almost the same quality as yours.

'Who are you?" She asked back, the hostility in her voice not hidden.

Moon tilted her head to the side, but the pain from her neck made her hiss. She wondered why she felt pain in her neck as her hand flew towards her neck, but the memory from earlier flooded into her head, and she blushed furiously.

Seeing her reaction, Harper confirmed her suspicion. The strange lady had been marked by Liam. She folded her hand till her knuckle whitened.

'I am Moon, Alpha Liam's mate. Who are you?" Moon managed to say. She could not understand why there was someone like her in Liam's room.

'How did you get into the room? Where is Liam?" Moon asked again, her head still muddled from sleep and pain.

'Nice question Luna Moon," Harper said sarcastically before walking to sit down on the bottom of the bed.

'Your mate gave this key to me." She started; her sitting posture gave off a bossy vibe, and Moon hated her instantly.

Somehow, Moon knew what she was about to say, but she sounded desperate and stupid starting like that.

'So?" Moon tried to pay her less attention.

Harper looked at Moon and got grumpy, this was not the reaction she expected.

'Have you ever wondered about Liam's sexual life before and after meeting you?" She started.

'I don't care." Moon spat with a frown, she tried to stand up to get herself a glass of water to drink.

She said she didn't care, the seed had already been planted in her heart. She did care. Her mind took her to the first day in his bathroom where he had a banter with a female but hid it from her.

Seeing Moon in Liam's clothes made Harper see red. She should have been the one in that cloth and not her. She decided then, not to go easy on her.

'Have you stopped yourself to wonder why we look alike?" Harper stood up and walked towards Moon.

'I guess you haven't." She giggled, enjoying Moon's distorted face.

'I'd leave that up to you." Harper walked back to the wardrobe, touching his clothes one after the other.

'Guess the woman in this bedroom when you locked yourself up in the bathroom…" She drawled, looking amusedly at Moon.

Moon's eyes wandered as she thought about her words before they snapped to look at her.

'Yes darling, you are right. Me." Harper continued.

Moon tried her best to control her emotions, but she sucked at it; her breath was beginning to get shaky.

Was she a fool to have trusted Liam? Or did he do this to get back at her for kissing Aiden?

She looked back at Harper, whose face made her head grow big with anger.

'I am Harper by the way." She giggled.

'I have a special secret for you; I am yet to tell him, though." She whispered the loudest way she could.

Moon just looked on as Harper showcased her almost flat stomach, her hands caressing it as she looked suggestively at Moon.

'Your mind isn't wrong. You are right." She smiled.

'I am pregnant for Liam." She had her right hand by the side of her mouth as she said it. It felt like she was sharing a secret.

Moon looked at her stomach, tears forced themselves to her eyes but she was determined not to let them fall.

'Good luck on being marked by the Alpha; I am guessing you had great sex." She smiled so hard, till her eyes almost disappeared with her smile.

'I did too. We had sex almost everywhere in this room, his office isn't exempted." She looked at her and was satisfied to see her pained reaction.

'Why would you trust a man you barely know?" Moon taunted once more, making Moon feel worse.

'Leave!" Moon found herself ordering her.

'Sure, I will leave. Take a chill pill."

'But before I leave," Harper said looking around her with an air of superiority.

'You should know that your mate is every ladies' man. You are not the only one who wants a piece of him, neither am I." She giggled again, a giggle that irked Moon so much.

Cat walking towards the door, she stopped to look back at Moon.

'You have a set of weird parents, they came to see you." She informed, enjoying the fear in Moon's eyes before she closed the door behind her.

Moon felt her world fall apart again as she squatted with her hands, holding her head to stop herself from screaming out loud.

The door squeaked again and Moon felt the presence of someone else in the room. She looked up and frowned at who it was.

Was Liam this cheap? Why were women who looked just like her tripping into the room?

She swore she didn't want to hear another escapade of Liam with his women.

She glared at her, ready to tell her to leave her be when the woman asked. 'Are you okay?"
