Moon would have almost lost her pregnancy if Victor hadn't used his power on her. To save her the pain, he deposited some of his power in her, enough for her body to adapt to.

'Take care of her." He had his eyes still looking at her pale sweaty face.

Zell, who just stepped in, nodded, standing in attention, his eyes completely on Moon.

Victor had his buttons completely unbuttoned, his jaw ticked, and he needed to leave. Looking at her longingly for a while, he bent down and gave her a peck on her forehead but she held his hand tightly even with her eyes closed, a streak of tears leaving her eyes.

'Don't … go." She mouthed, her lips were chapped.

'Water." He ordered instead.

'Yes, Alpha."

Zell was by his side soon enough with a bottle of water in his hand. He handed it over to the Alpha, his eyes still on Moon, he had removed his mask, revealing the whole of his face.

Victor uncorked the cover and took a long swig before placing the cover back. Zell watched him bend himself to Moon's face, place his lips on her parted ones, and force the water into her mouth. It ended up in a kiss before he dislodged her hand from his.

'Take care of her." He held his fist close.

Zell stepped back, putting a distance between them just in case his fist decided to fly randomly at him.

'Yes, Alpha."

'Keep an eye on her; don't let her leave even after the child is due."

Victor felt pained entrusting her to his subject, but he needed to do it to have a direct focus on his pack, Alpha Rex's pack and his determined mate to be.

'I will stop by to visit whenever I am free." He finally concluded, his hardened eyes staring off into space before finally catching Zell's eyes and looking at Moon intently.

He stepped towards Zell, whose eyes fell on him after noticing the shift in the aura.

Victor's nose flared as a possibility sprang up in his head. He wouldn't let it happen, none of it will happen.

'Get rid of the ideas in your head mate." He stopped before Zell, with the tip of his shoe touching Zell's toes.

'Else…" He was gone, leaving his words of threat hanging.

It had an effect because Zell stepped out of the house, closed Moon in, shifted into his wolf, and ran away into the woods to clear his head.

'Where is he?"

Moon sat with her legs spread wide on the bed, her tummy was rounded before her; she couldn't move. She has changed, but not in a bad way, the pregnancy made her skin glow even more.

'He is coming." Zell's machete landed forcefully on the reddened bone in his hand.

'FOR HOW LONG!?" Moon rocked her head, her hair flying in all directions.

'The baby." Zell reminded nonchalantly.

'I don't give a fuck about the baby! Where is its father?" She looked like a mini glowing monster, not harmful in any way.

Zell closed his eyes to tuck his emotion in. He had to go through this every single day since she woke up. It was three months of pure torture; this was the last month of the pregnancy, and he needed to get her back to what he guessed she used to be.

Opening his eyes, he looked calmly at her crazed ones.

'The Alpha has a lot on his plate and can't attend to you at the moment…"

'He forgot all about me." She laughed like the hyena he struck dead a few days ago in the woods.

'The Alpha has not…"

'Don't give me that crap!" She reached out to the nearest thing and threw it at him.

Staying with her had helped him groom his reflexes, he caught it before he got hit on the forehead.

'Nice try." He smirked.

She huffed and laid right back on the bed; her shoulders began to rock. She was crying again.

He looked at her and his eyes were sad, but he had to restrain his wish to console her. He fell for her expressive eyes but his life was more important.

He wished he could spill.

'How is she?" Victor, who had appeared in front of the house like he would do, asked.

'She asked of you," Zell reported, giving a slight bow.

'And your response?" Victor had his hands behind his back.

His sleeveless grey muscle shirt showcased the new additions of tattoos on his arms.

'The usual."

Victor nodded satisfactorily before opening the door.

'This is the last month Alpha."

He didn't see it coming; he felt himself in the air, and soon, he banged hard on the floor. The Alpha had flung him to the other side of the road under the night sky.

'Act as you are instructed and don't try to teach me my job." He clapped the dust off his hands, then walked inside.

He had been on this almost every night since he brought her here. Zell wondered why he didn't want her to see his face, but after this experience, he kept his thoughts to himself.

'Where is he?"

This time, Moon wasn't mad; she wasn't acting up, her eyes were watery, they were sad, her brows looked depressed, and her cheeks sunk in as she looked up at Zell.

'He… he is coming."

The cry of the baby interrupted her words.

'For how long?" Her voice broke.

She looked at her baby, whose mouth was wide open, his eyes producing tears and his arms moving about furiously. He needed a suck, but how could she suckle him when she was this bitter?

Stretching her hands towards Zell with her son on it, she looked away.

Zell's eyes looked at her worriedly and full of questions. 'What should I do with him?"

'Anything you wish." She was barely audible.

'Liam." Zell smiled sadly.

'Take him to his father." She told him after looking at him like he was unserious.

'He would be killed," Zell said casually.

'You are trying to scare me right? Have you been passing on my messages to him?" Now she doubted.

'Moon, I'd advise you …"

'Now, I see. You haven't been taking my messages to him. You like me don't you?"

Moon's son cried louder; Zell looked down at his Alpha's son and knew he would be dead if the wrong move was made. He cried so much Zell thought his vocal tract would be broken.

'I see the way you stare at me when you think I am not looking…"

Zell stopped her halfway; he was fed up with having to put up with this despite being subject to Alpha Victor.

'You think I would suck this up just to convert you?" He asked, standing to his feet.

His eyes peering down at her with his eyelids casting a shadow on his face reminded her of the first night she saw him in his masked face. Her heart skipped.

'I was just protecting you, Moon. I am still trying to protect you, but if you don't trust me, fine! Go ahead, see for yourself." Zell was heaving.

'Do I like you?" He asked, his watchful eyes looking at her finally showcasing her little plump breast with pink nipples and shoving it down the little boy's mouth.

'I do." He declared, not blinking it twitching.

Moon looked up at him, the shock she felt from his declaration made her hand quake. It felt like a dream.

'You..." She started.

'Yes, I know I could die for this but there's no restriction in declaring my feelings." He moved to sit close to her as if nothing just happened.

'I…"

' Give him to me, you can go and see the Alpha and his Luna, I will write down the description just in case you want to go the rogue pack."

'Rogue? Rogue pack!? Alpha Victor is a rogue!" Moon's eyes widened in realization.

'What will you call him?" Zell sat by her, looking lovingly at her son.

'You named him already." Moon suddenly turned shy, her eyes shaky as she patted her baby to sleep.

'Liam? But what if the Alpha asks?" Zell asked, all pores already opening to produce sweat.

'I will need to be alone for the moment."

***

Moon had sneaked into the rogue pack without the knowledge of Zell after she made him spill the direction. Abandoning her baby boy to have an audience with Alpha, she stopped in her tracks, and her eyes widened at what she saw.
