Chapter 60

Aiden's POV

When I got back to the pack house, it was dark already. It was mental torture imagining the look on Moon's face. It was a near-death experience thinking about what would happen between Liam and Moon afterward, but it was instant death thinking about what I would go in there to face.

There were a lot of eyes on me, but I didn't stop to return them, I pretended to be invisible, and it helped. Walking into my bedroom, my visit to the bathroom was immediate.

I felt so dirty, but I won't deny the pleasure from it; thinking about it again makes my shaft harden, but the memory of Liam figuring it out and Moon hearing it from him makes me limp again.

I scrubbed my body till I felt pain all over me; the redness of my skin made me satisfied, and after I was done, I laid down to sleep.

I didn't get to close my eyes when a bang on my door jolted me awake. My heartbeat kept hitting hard against its rib cage; it was painful.

I pretended not to hear the door but whoever it was wasn't ready to give up any time soon. The bang continued, it gave me headaches, and looking at the door made my stomach churn.

Standing up with much difficulty, I walked towards the door only to see it break open from the outside. My nose got hit by the impact, and it began bleeding instantly.

I had hoped against all odds that it wasn't my parents at the door but seeing my father's red face made my heart skip a thousand beats. All the pain from my nose and the bleeding was forgotten, my anxiousness was over the roof.

'Where have you been?" He asked, his eyes boring holes into me.

'I…" I thought I dared to talk till I opened my mouth to voice out the words.

'What are you? Weak? Speak!" My mum's face popped up in the line of my blurry vision.

My mum was here too! It was never a good thing having my angry parents together in a space.

The pain from my nose returned, and it dulled my thinking; the world spun around me as I thought of ways to escape this situation.

'I… I went for a walk." I told him while I convinced myself it was a good excuse.

'You went for a walk?" My father's face made me want to go back to being a child so I could cry freely.

'Ria shut the door." My father's eyes were completely on me.

I watched my mother readily shut the door. What happened to being reluctant? What happened to pleading on my behalf?

He approached me while I stood still, tasting the blood from my nose. I try not to make my gaze waver, my mother's hissing in the background wasn't helping at all.

'You went for a walk?" My father asked me again; this time, I knew I had already been exposed, but I stuck to my lie.

I nodded and saw his hand clench.

'Use your words." He punched my tummy.

I didn't see his hand coming; it was painful; I doubled over, the pain blinding me.

'Stand." He commanded and I struggled to get to my feet.

'You went for a walk?" He asked again, preparing his hand for another blow.

'N…no." I huffed.

'What happened to Diana?" He asked.

'She got hit." I bit my lower lips when I saw him raise his brow.

I got another punch in my stomach; it brought me to my knees, and I could not control my tears again. I let it pour out freely.

'And you watched."

'No." I coughed.

'I heard," I told him, sniffing back my tears.

'STAND!" He ordered.

Using the wall as my support, I stood. My eyes met my mum's and she looked away.

'You walked away. You were in love with the pathetic little thief."

'She is not a thief!" I wanted to yell back but I could only cower.

Another blow landed on my tummy. I fell flat on the floor, I expected to faint or something, but my eyes were stubbornly open.

'STAND!" My father yelled again.

I tried to stand, but my muscles wouldn't bulge.

'You call yourself a man, yet you can't withstand a blow?" My father, Beta Stone mocked.

'I said STAND!"

I struggled to stand; I was shaking; I couldn't stand straight.

'Straighten up." He said.

'Where were you?" My mother asked; she sat cross-legged on her bed.

I expelled air from my bloodied lips; it vibrated, spreading out bits of blood around.

'I went…I went to get Moon."

There, I said it, let the worse… oooww!

I fell to the floor with a full thud; my father had delivered another blow to my already aching tummy. The impact was more powerful than the others; my insides felt like they would dislodge themselves, and I threw up, still lying on the floor.

When I opened my eyes, I only saw blood before me then my father's black leather shoes came into view.

'What are you? Her guard?"

I only heard him, making any sound felt like hell so I only strived to keep my eyes open.

'Diana told me everything; I am extremely disappointed in you, son."

'You left her for dead and went after the pathetic idiot, tsk." Ria, my mother commented from where she sat.

'Your job is to capture the only son of Alpha Victor and not go after his mate." This time I saw her silhouette.

'She would be eliminated once Liam is finally in his place, you should have paid more attention to Diana." She continued.

I felt numb and light with pain; I could only breathe with my half-parted lips. My lids began to get heavy.

I felt someone, or maybe something, lift me to the ground.

'Stand on your feet." It was my father's voice invading my subconscious.

I tried standing but I ended up leaning on him. His hand hit my face, a slap!

'loosen up, the council of elders awaits you at the elders' quarters." He said and I felt awake instantly, the stinging pain still invading my brain.
