'What are you staring at?" Harper snapped at the duo looking at her.

She walked away before anyone could utter a word.

'She is weird." Aiden, who had all his concentration on the receding Harper, said.

'This is your chance," Serenity told him.

Aiden saw Moon now alone, he ran towards her but Serenity held him back.

'You are clueless, aren't you?"

'Watch." She told him, sucking her teeth at his innocence.

She tiptoed and kept herself hidden and when she attacked, she made sure to paralyze Moon before carrying her off. She handed her to the speechless Aiden, whose disbelieving eyes would not stop looking at hers.

'She isn't dead dummy, just unconscious. Take care of your shit, I am out." Serenity walked away.

'Moon?" He shook her till she woke.

When she opened her eyes in confusion before they widened open realization, he felt relief wash over him but he couldn't stop the next feeling, fear and anger at her.

'Aiden!?" Her eyes were wide when she saw his face.

He looked at the white shirt she wore and felt the impulse to tear it off her, but he ignored it. He saw her face morph into something terrible: her nose flared, her lips were trembling, and her eyes became teary.

'Why do you keep following me!" She yelled, hitting her hand on the ground.

'You need to come back to the pack, it isn't too late."

Moon smiled cynically at him, fighting against her tears. 'A pack where I am treated like a load of shit?" Moon asked him.

'The Alpha gave you a punishment…"

'For something I know nothing of."

'It doesn't matter; you just need to avoid the anger of the Alpha, explain that you were kidnapped, and finish your punishment to avoid bigger trouble." Aiden shamelessly explained.

She stared at him like he was an idiot before she began to laugh. She felt she would run mad listening to him.

'What happens to the constant torture from Diana? What happens to the gaslighting from the rest of our pack members? What happened to being tagged the weakest wolf in the pack?" Moon was going crazy; she stood up to look down on Aiden, who just squatted and stared up at her.

'Moon, you would have to understand that this thing happens in every pack." He sighed.

'Do you think you won't be treated the same way or even worse here!?" He stood up too, looking down at her eyes.

'At least I have someone by my side and I don't have to be lonely." She retorted.

Aiden looked at the sky to restrain his tears. 'What will you do about the Alpha's punishment then?"

'I have a mate who happens to be an Alpha."

It was a slap on Aiden face but he swallowed the pain. 'You need to come home, Moon." He took hold of her hand in a firm grasp.

'I don't have a home. If you call that hell of a place a home Aiden, then I don't want to be there."

'I understand you."

'Why are you doing this?" Moon went limp, her voice broke and she let her tears flow freely.

'It's the right thing to do."

Moon searched his face, and Aiden, who felt vulnerable, avoided her piercing gaze.

'Why do you care when you don't care!?" She felt the frustration rising in her, she yanked her hand away from his.

'I do care."

'You act the opposite."

'I can't go against my parents; they warned me against associating with you; I have a fated partner selected by them. I could die if I go against their wish."

Moon raised her brows at him, folded her arms beneath her breast, and pursed her lips.

'You have no mind of your own."

'I might have no mind of my own, but I want you to know one thing: the Alpha would attack this pack, and when you get caught, it would be more terrible than…"

A growl interrupted their discussion. From the corner of her eyes, Moon saw a large golden-furred wolf aim at Aiden. She blinked, and it lurched at him.

'Watch out!" Moon pushed Aiden away with everything in her.

Liam, who transformed back to his original self mid-air, zipped towards Aiden, and the next thing Moon saw was his hand wrapped around his neck.

'It was you, wasn't it?" Liam corked his head to the side.

'You are done for," Aiden said in-between trying to redeem himself from Liam's tight grasp.

'Liam?" Moon came close but Liam's hand stopped her from advancing further.

'I remember you now, Daddy's puppet." Liam's taunted.

'Fuck you!" Aiden spat, his face was red.

Liam sniffed, creasing his nose before dropping Aiden on the floor.

'Did you have sex before coming to find my mate?" Liam asked; Moon, gasped in the background, and Aiden closed his eyes in frustration while coughing and trying to soothe his injury.

'You reek of sex and it hurts my extra-sensitive nose."

Aiden refused to back down, he staggered to his feet and got into a heated staring competition with Liam. Moon, who was worried something terrible would happen, stood almost in between them.

'Bring her back to the pack for your good." Aiden coughed a little.

'Liam," Moon called softly.

Liam looked at her cute doe eyes containing her mesmerizing green orbs and couldn't ignore the fact that she was in his clothes, and this riffraff got to see it too.

'Leave, else I would end up snapping your neck into two," Liam said.

'She comes with me."

'Prepare to die then."

Moon flinched at Liam's last words, he said them without a blink.

Aiden, whose life was more important than risking it all for nothing, walked away; he stopped by Moon before whispering, 'If you know what's good for you, get yourself back to the pack house."

'Don't bother whispering, I can hear you." Aiden scoffed before walking away.

Not waiting for him to get away completely, Liam held Moon by her waist, drawing her close to himself.

'You have to be careful, Alpha Rex would…"

'He can't do anything to me," Liam said.

'You pleaded for him," Liam stated, the look in his eyes changed.

'Should I punish you for that?" He asked, his eyes hooded, holding dark promises.

'He only…"

'Now, you are trying to defend him." Liam held her face in his hand, her body tightly compressed to his.

He didn't look happy, she was afraid he could hear the loud beating of her heart. She felt light again, and the surroundings changed; they were back in his room.

'You need to be mine, Moon." His voice got husky, her breath got shallow, the atmosphere was thick with tension and her wild imagination didn't help matter.

'What do I do with you?" He asked, his lips closing in on hers.

She parted her lips, giving way for his. His tongue evaded her mouth, and his woody scent mixed with cigarettes wreaked havoc in her mind. Soon, she was mirroring the action of his lips.

He detached his lips, allowing her to come up for her before diving in again.

'Be mine." He said against her lips.
