'You have your lotions here," Liam told her, drinking in her appearance.
She was so small and delicate that his shirt looked big on her, almost passing for a shirt gown but she kept twisting her legs.
'If you keep doing that, I'll end up doing what's in your head." Liam joked, his wolf was locked away this time.
She glared at him, moving slowly to sit on the bed as if the shirt would fly away from her.
'You look good. It looks good on you." He told her, looking at the scar struggling to peek out of the bottom of the shirt and her hands everywhere trying to protect her dignity.
'Hmm." She nodded, painfully aware of his eyes on hers.
He thought of banning the idea of getting her clothes of her own and just allowing her to put on his shirts and t-shirts but imagining the eyes that would see her like this made him sneer.
'Keep your eyes off." She glared hard at him this time.
'Let's stroll." He said instead.
'Like this?" Her brows furrowed.
'Yes?"
'People will see." She clapped her thighs close and even tighter, chewing on her inner lips.
'They won't." He stood up offering her his hand.
She looked at his hand for a bit and got lost in thoughts for two minutes before accepting it. But instead of standing, she tried to drag him down with her.
'What's this about?" He smiled teasingly.
'Dirty mind. I just want to talk. Seat, please."
And he did, thinking about the things she would want to talk about.
'What's this about?" He asked when she didn't say anything after a few minutes.
'Who is she?"
Her voice came out so tiny that he had to strain his ears to hear her.
'She?" He vaguely knew who she was referring to but he didn't know what to tell her.
'The lady from earlier."
'Ooh!" Liam mustered a smile.
'Forget about her. She isn't someone important."
Moon looked at his confidence and narrowed her eyes at him.
'But she was banging on the bathroom door and you guys were…"
'Hey, Pretty. Stop overthinking. She brought in your clothes and these, she is my Beta's girlfriend too, so…"
Moon felt uncomfortable with his explanation but she knew she had no right to force the words out of him.
'What about Diana's words from earlier? She said…"
'Let's go out." Liam was already on his feet, pulling her up to hers.
'That pack member of yours was up to no good. She had ulterior motives and was probably good at throwing people off balance." He explained hastily, not wanting to dive into any deep discussion.
Moon watched him loosen the towel from her hair with a huge frown on her face.
'I can do it myself."
'I know." Came his reply, his hand already massaging her scalp.
'Allow me to do it." She raised her hand, but he kept it down and bent to her level, looking straight into her eyes; his nose was almost touching hers.
'If I have to be your mate, I want to love you enough. Enough to be able to do even the littlest things for you."
Moon's heart expanded, almost bursting with sweetness, she held his gaze, his yellow orbs against her green ones.
'Okay?" He peered at her and she nodded slowly.
Walking her to the mirror, he sat her down on the stool and right in front of her, he teleported to the basket and was back by her side instantly. Her eyes went wide.
'You…"
'Yes, I have a lot of abilities. The ones I have discovered, the ones I am still yet to discover."
'It is our little secret. Okay?" He stared at her through the mirror and she nodded at him.
'Since you trust me this much..." She started but paused.
'Will you tell me about them later?" She asked again sneaking a peek at him now with the manual blow drier, meticulously drying her hair like his life depended on it.
'I will." He smiled, then caught her eye in the mirror.
'You can trust me too." His smile was so warm and reassuring, giving her no room for nervousness.
'Hmm." She hummed her reply.
Taking the lotion for her, he applied them and gently combed her curly hair out before packing them into another hair bonnet.
'Come, let me show you around." He took her hand and she stood.
Seeing him approach her, she swallowed; her heart thudded, but she allowed him to engulf her in a hug. She felt light after that.
'Do you trust me?" He asked.
She nodded.
'I need words Pretty."
'Yes, I trust you."
Immediately the last word left her mouth, he brought her close to the wall. She was about to protest when she felt herself walk through the wall to the other side.
Unhanding her, Liam smiled at the shock on her face. Slightly bending, he peered into her eyes and playfully pinched her cheeks.
'You look really cute."
'Did you just do that?" She pointed towards the wall.
'Yes, we did it." Liam's smile grew wider.
Moon felt like he was a big baby happy to receive a compliment.
'Can I see your wolf?" She requested hopefully.
He only scratched his neck a few times, thinking about what to do; it wasn't the right time to let him see her wolf; she wouldn't be able to handle him.
‘Hey! Jerk! You know I can hear your thoughts right?' His wolf shouted at him.
'He is a narcissist and I promise, you might not like him."
'But I want to see him."
'All right," Liam said and closed his eyes while Moon waited.
When he reopened them, Moon expected to see a different eye color, but she only met a more intense pair of eyes; the yellow orbs of his eyes were like wildfire.
It felt awkward as she couldn't see any real difference, it still felt the same as Liam, but she decided to take the first step.
'Hello?" She greeted.
He smirked in return, bending to kiss her lips. When he saw her tensed up, he changed the direction of his lips and pressed it against her forehead.
'I swear to protect you." He said out of the blue, but Moon nodded anyway.
'My time is up." His smile was boyish, it made Moon swoon.
'I want to see you in your wolf form." Moon didn't even know why she wanted to see him in his wolf form, it was a craving she wanted to satisfy.
'You'd have to peck my lips first."
She contemplated but still stood on your toe and placed an extremely unbelievably quick kiss on his lips.
He raised his brows before he chuckled, 'A deal is a deal. So…okay."
'Can you wait here for a bit?"
'Okay?" Moon got confused.
'I will be back in my wolf form." He walked away briskly after winking at her.
She looked at him till he was out of sight, the next thing she felt was panic. Since she could not shout out and kick who it was off her, she allowed herself to be carried away.
