'Let me help you, Moon." He whispered in her ears.
Shaking off the feeling of anxiety spreading speedily along her body parts and coming to settle in her stomach, she closed her eyes to avoid looking at his face which was closer than normal to hers.
'Get off me Aiden." She pleaded gently, a little tear peeking out of her eyelids.
'I can't. If I do, you'd run off and if you run off, there is a possibility of being caught by the guards." He said.
'You know the guards are on the lookout for you?" He asked her softly.
Snapping her eyes open, she furrowed her brow at his craftiness.
'And whose fault is it huh? Whose fault is it?"
'I was only doing it for your good Moon."
'Allow my name to stay out of your lips." She said irritated by the affectionate way he called her.
'See, someone is coming." She said in mock surprise but he just kept his eyes on her without wavering.
'Nice try, Moon, but I won't buy it." He said with a quiet laughter that undid the patience in her.
'If they were coming, they wouldn't even notice you."
Taking advantage of her free hands, she gagged at the idea in her head but she still did it anyway.
Running her fingers on his sides, she tickled him with a straight face; he laughed and rolled off her but was quick enough to keep her hands in place. One of his hands covered both of hers with it above her head.
'Stop trying so hard, jeez!" He said, sucking his teeth.
'You could have tried hard for me and not him, that beast," Aiden said, spewing venom as he said those words.
Moon watched him closely, not wanting to believe that he dared to spew such words after the things he did to her the day she confessed and his indifference after that.
'Liam, a beast?" She asked him, her face colored from anger.
He looked back at her with less intensity.
'That beast is ten times, no, hundred times better than you!" She responded, making sure to enunciate every word to his hearing.
His hand made as if to loosen, but he held on tight again. A look of pain flashed across his face, but it was gone in seconds.
'I understand your pain and I wish you understand my predicament."
'I don't care for your rubbish predicament. Unhand me this instant!" Moon commanded, her breath getting thick.
Leaning in on her, while she moved away to avoid his breath hitting hers, he whispered into her ears just the same way Diana had done.
'I can't unhand you till it's past curfew."
'I need to see Liam." Moon, whose eyes were on the verge of spilling tears, said.
'I know." He said, his eyes drinking in her appearance.
Feeling naked from the scrutinizing gaze directed at her, she blushed furiously. Looking somewhere else while he drew closer to her, his hand pinning her hands above her head suddenly felt so sensual that she began to feel annoyed at the restriction of movement.
Bringing up Liam's cheerful face in her head, she smiled and that alone had stopped her from imagining anything happening between them. It shoved the ugly memory between them back into her mind.
'You made an effort to meet him." Came his words but she kept mute, counting the seconds.
Keeping her head to the side to avoid looking at his face or into his eyes, she heard him chuckle before coming closer and taking a deep sniff.
This time around, she made the gaggling sound, making him pause, but it was only for a few seconds before he continued sniffing her neck again.
With her eyes tightly closed, tears ran down her eyes.
'Just let me go, Aiden; you have Diana already." Moon pleaded, her voice cracking towards the end.
At the mention of Diana's name, Moon felt Aiden stiffen. Ha! Just like she thought.
Taking that to her advantage, she decided to bring up her name constantly.
'If you claim to care for me like you say you do…you would have considered the possibility of Diana finding out about this scandalous position and punishing me unfairly for…"
'Scandalous position?" Aiden, who had withdrawn himself from Moon's neck and intoxicating scent, asked with a forced smile.
Moon was disgusted by the fear in his eyes. 'Yes, scandalous position. Anyone seeing us like this would think we are about to do it." She said, appalled by the mention of ‘it' and the sheer idea of it.
Soon, the bell went off. It was a curfew, and Aiden unhanded her with immediate effect like her hand was suddenly extremely hot.
Scoffing at his contradicting attitude, she wiped the drying tears from her eyes before standing up to leave, angry her mission had to be aborted due to Aiden's involvement.
Holding her hand and stopping her from leaving. 'How is your body? Are you hurting anywhere?" He asked concerned.
Laughing like a maniac with her eyes wide open looking at Aiden's concerned face, she shook her head.
'You don't have to care about my injuries Master Aiden." She mocked and made to leave, but his hand tightened around her wrist, keeping her in place.
'Ouch! My wrist… it… hurts." Moon said, wincing while trying to shrink away from the tight grip of his hand.
'You don't get to treat me that way, I was only trying to care." He said with a menacing look that made Moon's face morph into fear, the pain on her face was not hidden either.
'Is it a crime to like you?" He asked, peering into her face with eyes so full of dangerous thoughts, and she almost laughed amid the feeling of fear and pain.
