I stared blankly.“Why did you betray me like this?”

She brought light to my world,then only to shatter it. She egged me on to confess my feelings to Lucas, then leaked the video, unleashing a wave of online abuse.
She thought I didn’t know.
I'd just been in denial,clinging to the only bit of comfort I had.

She doubled over,cackling.
I stared,my lips curling into a smile.In the mirror,my disheveled hair and bloodshot eyes made me look like a demon.
Slap.I struck her left cheek,leaving it red and swollen.
“You enjoy seeing me suffer,don’t you?”
“You hit me?”Mia gasped,incredulous.
Slap.I hit her right cheek.
“You—”She couldn’t believe the weak Lily Harper would strike.
“You’re too loud.Shut up.”
The voices grew louder,faster,my eyes reddening,my rage uncontainable.
Lily,what are you waiting for?They’ve been lying to you all along.
Lucas promised to bring you home,but you rotted in hell for three years.They treated you like an animal, making you bark and whipping you with salt - soaked barbed lashes.

I lunged,straddling her.Mia screamed.

She thrashed around,her nails digging into my arms,leaving bloody streaks.
I felt no pain,my mind was disturbingly calm.
