Chapter 81

Harper looked up to see the door open slowly before Moon's face popped up. She felt tensed but she needed to convince the idiot that she had Liam under the tips of her fingers, so she took the dare and began kneading Liam's hair.

Just as she hoped, he didn't give much reaction, just tensing up. She watched Moon's tear-filled eyes with a smirk.

'Fuck off." She mouthed to Moon who sniffed back her tears in return before letting out a sob.

‘Shit!' Harper thought in her head as she saw Liam's shoot up before looking in the direction of Moon.

'Moon?" He called already by her side.

Harper's eyes blinked severally, wondering how he got himself to her side in the blink of an eye when she remembered that he had abilities.

'Moon?" The confused Liam called, reaching out to her slowly, the look in his eyes was pleading but Moon put a distance between them.

'I can explain." Liam found himself saying.

Was this the position his father found himself in years ago? He refused to think about or compare himself to his father.

Moon looked at Liam while slowly shaking her head in response. She didn't want to hear any of his explanation, she wasn't sure she would be able to stomach it.

'Allow me to explain, Moon." Liam offered again, coming closer to her, but she kept moving backward, putting a space between them.

'Please Moon…stop going away, it hurts." Liam was almost on his knees.

Moon paused and looked beyond his shoulders before looking back at him.

'Did you…" She paused, closing her eyes and letting out a huge shaky breath.

'Go on." Liam encouraged, ready to spill his guts out.

'Did you sleep with her?" Moon pointed a shaky finger at Harper, who was on her feet too, staring at Moon.

Liam opened his mouth to respond, but it wasn't as easy as he expected; he knew he had to say yes, but his voice would just come.

'Answer me!" Moon yelled stomping her legs on the floor, her hands going to scatter her hair furiously. She was surprised at herself after doing that. What were these heightened emotions and acts?

Liam nodded at her, and Moon covered her mouth with her hand as she stepped backward, shaking her head in disbelief.

'When?" Moon found herself asking, her eyes were already hurting from the tears.

'Why do you want to know when it will hurt you further?" Harper stepped forward, concealing her shaky hands folded beneath her breast.

She was nervous, but if she wanted to conquer Moon, she needed to act brave and not be a crybaby.

'Step back!" Liam barked at Harper, his eye was still on Moon.

'I am pregnant with our baby." She insisted, standing firmly behind him.

Liam's jaws worked, he wanted to punch her in the stomach to get rid of the baby but he scolded himself for even thinking about doing that.

He was extremely confused, he could not turn Harper away because he didn't want his child to go through what he went through. Yet, he did not dare leave Moon.

'When!" Moon yelled, her body rocked with extreme emotions, she stared from Harper to Liam and back to Harper again, wishing she could smack her stupid face.

'What…"

All eyes were on the middle-aged woman who stopped a little close to Moon; she had her eyes scanning the face of Moon, Liam, and Harper, her face frowning in confusion.

Kia ran in to join her, screeching to a halt just behind her when he felt the tension in the air. He didn't even need to feel the tension when he had eyes to see the teary-eyed Moon, the panic-stricken Liam, and the proud-looking Harper.

'Alpha?" He called but Liam had his hand up already to stop him from advancing or asking any questions.

'Yes, Alpha." He responded he knew exactly what it meant.

'She too?" Moon pointed to the middle-aged woman whose confusion worsened as she pointed towards herself.

'Me too?" She looked at Liam before looking back at Kia, whom she had hurriedly called to come to help her find Moon.

'Do you get together with women just because they look like me?" She asked, her chest heaving deeply.

There was a pause as Liam and Kia took their time to look from Aunt Olivia to Moon, then back to Aunt Olivia before looking back at themselves; their eyes were wide.

Liam felt his blood pump, but that could wait first; he needed to get things sorted out with Moon first.

'Aunt Olivia is just like a mother to me, Moon; I would never do anything like that to her." Liam held his head with his hand.

'Anything like that to me?" Aunt Olivia asked again, her face seeking answers.

'Moon?" Liam moved forward but Moon stared hard at him before running out.

'MOON! Wait!" Liam called, ready to go after her, but something held him back.

He looked back at Harper and growled. 'Leave me alone!" but she still didn't back off.

Kia looked at Harper with hatred and disgust in his eyes, but she was so shameless that she didn't mind; she just kept on latching at Liam as her life depended on it.

He thought of using brute force, but knowing that she was pregnant didn't help him out in any way; he yelled out in frustration, his agonic shout vibrating even in the bones of Harper and the rest.

Moon ran without stopping, she found herself outside the gate and she didn't know where she was running to but she kept running. No matter the amount of ‘heys?' she got from people, she didn't stop she kept running till her lungs were out of air.

She stopped to get a breather but seeing the distance between her position and the pack house, she wondered how she managed to run that fast.

Still, in deep thought and amazement, she felt someone approach her from behind and cover her nose before she had the opportunity to scream. She struggled, but the more she struggled, the more weakened she felt till she blacked out.
