Victor dived his face into her middle and Moon squirmed, but he held her in place. When he raised his face to look at her, his eyes were lidded and his face looked dreamy.

'You smell heavenly. You are wet and ready too."

'Why do you look troubled?" Victor still sat on his seat after Moon walked into his room.

'You look troubled yourself." She told him.

'Go first." He hardly spared her a glance.

'I think I missed my period." Her eyes were tightly shut waiting for his reaction.

There, she said it. There was nothing else to hide.

'You think?"

'No, I know."

'Hmm." He nodded.

'Victor?" She stepped closer and made to touch him, but he just disappeared, and she ended up touching the air.

'Victor?" She bit her lips.

'Leave."

She looked at the bed to see him half sitting on it.

'Victor?"

'I'll summon you when it's time." His eyes were closed.

She left his room hunched and sad. She avoided looking into anyone's eyes, sticking close to the shadows in the hallway when someone touched her shoulder.

'Jeez! Why did you jump like that? Is anything the problem?" Beta Stones asked Moon.

'No, no, I am very much okay." Moon stuttered, waving her hand before her face.

'You are trying to convince yourself more than you are trying to convince me." He said but didn't bother to inquire about the sadness in her eyes.

'Where is Victor, the Alpha needs him now."

'His room." She pointed.

'Yeah, thanks." He walked off and she leaned on the wall, tears left her eyes.

'She has finally gotten her heart broken." A maidservant mocked, passing before her but she ignored her.

Moon walked into her room, lay on the bed, and cried her heart out, pressing her face on her pillow.

She tried to convince herself he was in a bad mood and would come in to see her later. He said she was his and no one else's.

She slept off thinking, only to be tapped away.

'Victor?" She raised her head to see his unsmiling face.

He didn't respond, she had to sit up to look at him completely. She was no more a maidservant, her position had been elevated to an ordinary member of the pack.

'Are you fine?" She asked him, her hand rubbing his arms.

'Something urgent came up." He looked at her.

A look that made her heart pace, a look that made her head wander to places.

'Wait! don't want to hear it if you would say something to break my heart." Moon panted.

'I won't do an abortion, I won't kill an innocent child. My child, your child, our child. Victor?" She stood slowly, looking painfully at him.

He could not meet her eyes.

'You promised me. You promised me that I wouldn't be like others. You said it was me and me alone…"

'ENOUGH!" Victor yelled, his shoulders going up and down, his lips were pursed, and his forehead was creased.

Moon jolted on her feet.

'Victor?" Her eyes watered.

'You yelled at me."

'Are you really…" He could not even say a word; he just looked down at her flat belly.

'Yes, I am." She placed her hand on her tummy.

'What happened to pills?" His was heaving.

'Victor?" Her voice was breaking, tears were leaving her eyes this time.

'You won't be aborting if you don't want to." He turned his back to her.

'Stop there." He ordered when he felt her move.

'Don't come close, don't touch me." His voice cracked.

'Victor, don't … don't do this… please, please."

'If you want to keep the baby, you would have to leave the pack." He clenched his jaw when she gave a mighty cry in response to his words.

'Why should I leave? Didn't you say…"

'I will be having my mating ceremony tonight."

There was silence, he fell into the temptation of turning to see her shocked face. Her tears ran non-stop, her lips were parted, her red eyes blinked slowly, she was pale and her head shaky. She held her flat stomach protectively.

'You are getting mated tonight and it isn't me?" Moon forced her voice out; she stumbled backward, waving her hand blindly to get a hold of something to keep her stable.

Victor's eyes were sad, he zipped to her and held her in place. She looked up at him.

'Tell me you are joking." She looked intently at him.

Victor gritted his teeth, he placed her on the bed, refusing to look at her eyes.

'I meant to tell you."

'But you didn't." She shook her head slowly, still in doubt.

'You will leave tonight; take the necessary things you need; one of my men will be here to escort you to my pack."

'Victor?" She was desperate this time, standing up and grabbing his hands.

'I am pregnant with our child, you said you didn't want a mate as far as you had me."

'You can always reject her."

'Except I can't." He returned her gaze.

'You are sad, you are unhappy about this Victor. Is there something else I don't know about?"

Victor tried removing her hands from his.

'Who is she?" She was hardly breathing.

'Jennifer." He said without blinking.

Moon stumbled and fell to the bed with her butt, her mouth could not produce words, and her tongue stuck to the roof of her mouth.

'You went back to her?" She finally asked.

'It is complicated, you won't understand. Just get your things ready before he comes, if you don't, you will still have to leave anyway."

'Do you love me?" She held unto the last thread of hope.
