Liam's POV

Immediately, the door closed behind her; I went towards the basket and opened it to see what was in it.

My door opened again and I looked up.

'Oh! I thought I forgot something." The elderly woman from earlier said, her teeth on full display.

I wanted to yell at her to leave, but I just nodded politely; my eyes watched her close the door slowly till it was completely shut.

Standing on my feet, I walked towards the door, turned it to a lock, and removed the key. My head would split into two if I got any more irritation.

The reaction of Aunty Olivia from earlier bothered me, but after sitting down to think about it, I concluded that Diana's manipulation of Moon rubbed off her.

Evil! Both father and daughter are evil! Why won't they just let me be and get out of my life for good?

The water stopped running, and I figured Moon would need a towel and something else to wear; walking towards the basket, I made to take out the clothes I saw in there when the water started running again.

I closed the basket and walked towards the bathroom door, my hand hovered over it. I wondered if I should knock yet.

She was taking longer than expected and the water never stopped running.

Deciding against interrupting her bath, I went back to sit on my bed, thinking of ways to bargain with the Alpha of the Silverstone pack should anything come up.

I mean, a peaceful settlement won't hurt, right?

My brain wandered to the guy from that night, I would make sure he pays in full if he tries messing with Moon again.

She had been in the bathroom for over an hour, and I was beginning to pace, many possibilities coming up in my head.

Was she too nervous to be in the same room as me?

Did she spend this much time and water in the bathroom?

Did she get so tired that she slipped and fell? Is she unconscious!?

At that last thought, my eyes stretched till I felt the pain of it. My imagination was beginning to run wild, and I wasted no time hurrying towards the door.

But as I was about to knock, I heard the key get unlocked. I frowned.

How could Kia be back so soon?

I waited, frowning in suspicion, till the door knob got twisted, and the last person I wanted to see peeked in.

I stood, fuming in anger when her eyes narrowed, looking around but still not seeing me till she stepped into my room.

I should have been pushing her out the instant I saw her head peek in, but I could not. Anger kept me rooted to a place, I spent my time trying not to do something stupid.

Her eyes narrowed even more at the opened basket on the floor; she rushed noiselessly towards it, still on her toes. I could not bear to see her touch it.

'What are you doing here?"

She jumped, landing on her butt, her hand on her heaving chest, breathing as hard as she could as she eyed me.

'You scared me." She sniggered, wiping the sweat off her face.

'Why are you here?" There was no time to waste. I used my Alpha aura on her, and she began to shiver, she was not used to it.

'I was just passing, I wanted to say hi."

That was the most stupid excuse I had heard in my life.

'Sure, your hi has been received. Use the door."

She stood up, holding my gaze before walking towards me. I knew what was going on in her head, and it made me mad; I allowed her, though.

She came too close, her nose an inch closer to my chest and I closed my eyes in annoyance.

Before she could touch my chest, my hand met hers mid-air.

'DON'T," I said simply, this was one of the times I had to stretch my patience this much.

'But I miss you huh?"

'It was a one-time thing." I was as gentle as I could be knowing how sensitive women tend to be.

'It was precious, worthy of addiction Alpha Liam." She whispered loudly, her lips close to my neck.

I felt cringe, drawing my neck backward to give her space.

'Let's not drag this any further. Please leave." I put her away from me.

I saw hurt in her eyes; I saw madness in them, too. I needed to put her in her place before it got too late.

'The first time was a mistake."

'The second time wasn't, though." She smirked.

The picture of her leg on my bed, the other on the floor, while her fingers worked in her middle surfaced, and I groaned. She giggled at me.

'I heard you haven't been with someone for years, I was the first." She bragged, walking around the room towards the bathroom door.

I was ready to use my ability if it came to that to stop her from making things bad for me, but she just walked past.

'Weird." She commented.

'Don't get over yourself, you were a replacement."

She paused and looked at me. I was prepared for the worst, ready to do anything to get her away from Moon, but she shrugged before smiling again.

'It doesn't matter, I am still the first."

Her smile was devilish now, she somehow reminded me of Diana's evil smile with the difference of her crooked tooth.

I closed my eyes to contain the anger building up at a fast pace.

'So you really brought home a lady, a weak one at that?"

I opened my eyes and saw a red lacy pant in her hand. It set my heart on fire, and my wolf growled within me.

I was by her side in seconds, taking the panties out of her hand, but before I could grab her hand, she ran towards the bathroom door, trying to force it open.

'HARPER!" My wolf growled, it was a guttural one.

I didn't want it out, it would be deadly.

'Get the fuck out of my room!" I shouted at her pointing towards the door.

'I won't!" She insisted, pulling at the door knob even harder.

I teleported to the bathroom door, and she gasped, looking at me like she just saw a ghost; her face was pale, her lips open, and she couldn't use her voice for a while.

'Don't make me use brute force!" I warned her, my teeth baring themselves.

'I underestimated you Alpha." She was trembling.

My ears quirked toward the direction of the bathroom; I picked a movement; she was getting closer to the door.

Fearing she would open the door to see Harper and I, I held Harper by the waist and we teleported to the Parks Storeroom.

Her eyes were still wide, looking at me; she swallowed, her legs bucked, and she flopped to the floor.

I turned my back to her, getting ready to get back to my room.

'You...you can…you can do that!?" The horror in her voice could not be missed.

Turning my head to the side, I said, 'Tread cautiously." And I was gone.
