'If you know where this Selene's forsaken thing is, just give it out and stop this madness!" Kelvin yelled at Lilian noticing the madness in her eyes.
'Where. Is. it!?" Diana emphasized every word her teeth not parting even once to give her tongue a breather.
She was beginning to lose her strength again; the whites of her eyes were becoming visible.
'You are a sucker for good plans," Lilian said limply, her hands hanging loose by her side.
'What?" As if electrocuted, Diana let go of Lilian's neck and the weak girl fell on her shoulder.
'You want to take someone else down, yet you attack your partner at the slightest inconvenience." Lilian chuckled like she finally had a screw loose in her head.
'You?" Diana held Lilian's shoulder at arm's length. 'You could have told me!"
'What's the fun in it?" Lilian whispered back as she wiped the little string of blood on her lips with the back of her hand, her teeth on full display.
'The drama was necessary; it needed to be real, but you took it too far girl," Lilian said again, hugging Diana close so their lips didn't have to be read by rumor mongers.
'Where is it?" Diana whispered.
'You can take a guess," Lilian said and threw herself to the floor, coughing and wincing hard.
'Lilian!" Amira and Becky rushed in.
'That was too harsh, Dian; I swear I didn't take it!" She yelled with the little strength she had left at Diana who looked confused for a second before joining in the act.
'Then who did!? Who took it?" Diana's eyes blazed with anger, she didn't have to fake the anger.
Her missing black diamond already did the trick.
'Who took what? And what is all this fuss?" The Alpha strode in along with a few other elders.
Giving way for them to pass with a bow of the head, Diana came to face the Alpha.
'My most valuable property my Alpha, it suddenly went missing." She said with a bow of her head and in the most gentle tone she could use.
Everyone present from the start knew that Diana was anything but calm.
The Alpha, a middle-aged man with pepper and salt hair and a little wrinkle on his face looked back at Diana's face before looking at Lilian recuperating on the floor.
'Did you do that to her?" He asked, stroking his beard
'That's not the most important thing right now Alpha."
'Answer me!" The Alpha demanded his Alpha aura already placing Diana on her knees.
Seeing the possibility of an ugly exchange happening within minutes, Lilian quickly got to her feet. 'I am to be blamed, Alpha Rex; it's only normal she assumes I stole her valuable just because I was the last person to enter her room."
'Don't you know the rules?" Alpha Rex asked as he shook, looking at the mess already created in his absence, maybe giving the lads their pack house was a bad idea after all.
'It was an impulsive action, and we regret being the initiators; we are sorry." Lilian was quick to put her forehead to the ground, forcing Diana to do the same.
'I think that should be forgotten for the moment, let's look at the crucial issue. We have a thief among them if she has turned her house upside down to still find nothing." Beta Stone, Aiden's father whispered into the Alpha's ear as he pointed towards the room he assumed to be Diana's room.
Nodding at his words, Alpha Rex looked at both girls, whose foreheads were still pinned to the floor in remorse.
'Rise."
'Thank you, Alpha," Lilian said gratefully while Diana mumbled.
'What thing of yours is missing to warrant all of this?" He asked taking strides as he looked around them.
'My diamond pendant," Diana said and Becky and Amira took a sudden intake of air as their eyes widened in shock.
'Your diamond pendant?" Beta Stone asked with a frown.
'Yes, Beta," Diana responded with her eyes on the floor.
'Baby!" Nova, Diana's mother ran towards her daughter, worry etched on her face as she observed her unharmed daughter's body, turning her around to look for the impossible wound on her body.
Mateo walked slowly behind his mate, bowing to the Alpha before proceeding to join his mate in asking after the wellbeing of his daughter, turning a complete blind eye to Lilian who was clearly not fine.
'My diamond pendant," Diana repeated, and Nova paused and looked around them before looking back at Diana.
'What do you mean by your diamond pendant?" She asked her lips stretching into a forced smile.
'It's missing," Diana said, her eyes on Lilian who sneered at her.
'WHAT!?" Nova and Mateo yelled at once shocked at the news.
'Alpha, something needs to be done about this and right now. That necklace means a lot to my daughter and my family." Mateo looked at the Alpha with much more intensity, and the Alpha nodded at them, not understanding why they would make a fuss over a diamond necklace.
'Search every room till it's found." The Alpha gave his order, and the guards shouted their response with vigor before dispersing into a different room and urging the owners out.
'How did you lose it?" Mateo asked fiercely, looking at Diana, who looked back at him subtly.
'Do you know the importance of what you just lost!?" Mateo yelled in anger and fear, his body shaky while the Alpha watched on wondering what was so special about this diamond pendant.
Pouting her lips and her eyes shiny from tears, Diana rushed towards her father and fell on his arms, her body shaky as she released sons and incoherent words.
'Don't take your dad's job too seriously, Mateo; you could lose something valuable if you overstep your boundaries." Diana threatened whispering into her father's ears.
Eyes wide with fear, he stared into the equally fearful eyes of his mate and they swallowed down the growing lump in their throat.
What was Diana up to?
