Rachel offered to host a party.
After the birthday party ended, I saw Rachel sneak a drunk Lily to a motel, handing her to Tom.
In my previous life, I was terribly tortured by him.
couldn’t help but shudder all over, and my otherwise healthy legs also ached faintly.
This time,Lily would bear my pain.
A week later,Lily quit.
At lunch,Rachel returned as Lily packed her desk.
“Lil,what’s this?”
Lily shoved her.”Get lost,you bitch!”
The outburst drew a crowd.
Rachel looked embarrassed after being cursed at, but for the sake of her brother, she held her temper.”I know you haven’t been in a good mood lately. It’s okay, I don’t mind. Besides, we’ll soon be sisters-in-law. We’ll be family then.”
Lily snapped,hurling a box at Rachel.”Family?Your brother’s a rapist!Say it again,and I’ll report him!”
Rachel,bleeding from the hit,sneered,”Your nudes are everywhere—who’d believe you?You’re a discarded slut.Only my brother doesn’t mind.”
Lily face turned beet red with anger, and she was breathing heavily.
Rachel turned to the crowd.”Ask them—they’ve all seen your videos.I’d die of shame.I pitied you,set you up with my brother, who doesn’t know your mess. You call him a rapist? You’re vile—deserve those leaks.”
Thanks to Rachel,Lily’s videos were company-wide.
The colleagues exchanged awkward glances and none of them dared to say a word.
Lily first burst into tears and then started laughing hysterically. In the end, she seemed to be in a trance. She pointed at everyone and shouted.”Why am I despised?I’m the victim! Is a woman’s purity worth more than her life? You’re all killers, using gossip to murder a girl!”
She also knew that rumors and gossip could easily destroy a girl. People can only empathize when they’ve experienced it for themselves. She smashed office items, the office soon turned into a complete mess. I watched, savoring her agony.
She lunged at Rachel, tearing her clothes, screaming,”I’ll film you—make you like me!”
“Lily’s lost it!”a colleague yelled,calling security.
No one noticed the faint smirk that flashed across Rachel’s faint smile.
