When they said those words:"He's just a child, and you're an adult.Besides, your one-eyed little uncle is almost sixty years old. He's lived long enough to die."
My desire to kill that eight-year-old brat flared up instantly...
"Your little uncle was cooking in the kitchen.Everything was fine at first.I don't know what happened, but the gas cylinder exploded.Just..."

"The surveillance footage on the roadside showed that there was a child sneaking around behind the window of your father's kitchen. Then he lit something, threw it in through the window, and ran away. After that,well...the explosion happened..."
"Beep...beep...beep..."
I held the phone, and big tears streamed down my face.
The next second,I rushed to the hospital like a madman.
But I could never catch up with the pace of death...
"Uncle Charlie..."I trembled as I reached out to lift the white cloth covering my little uncle.

But I was suddenly hugged tightly by Michael, who held my hands firmly.
"Nora...don't..."
"Let go...he's my little uncle.Let me see him...let me take one last look at him..."I was unusually calm, but my tears flowed uncontrollably.
Michael still held me tightly.

I could feel his body shaking, and when his eyes landed on the person on the hospital bed,he would unconsciously frown and quickly look away.
He had arrived here one step ahead of me and had of course seen the charred body of my little uncle.
So he couldn't bear to let me see it.
But I insisted on looking. The appearance of my little uncle in life was already engraved in my mind.
I also wanted to remember his current appearance.
Remember it deeply.I couldn't just let him be killed like this while I remained silent and did nothing.
When Michael saw me change from being agitated to calm so quickly,
Thinking that I wouldn't do anything drastic,he released me.
But when I touched the corner of the white cloth again,my courage dissipated instantly.
I only knew that my hands were shaking violently.
Slowly,I lifted a corner and stared at my little uncle.
I felt a rush of sweetness and iron in my throat, and all that was left was the excruciating pain in my chest.
Finally,I slumped beside the bed and burst into tears.
Hadn't my little uncle suffered enough?Hadn't I suffered enough? Why did this have to happen to us?
We had an agreement. When I got married,he would close his breakfast shop.
I had built a new house for him in our hometown. After attending my wedding next month,
He could go back to his hometown to enjoy his old age.
Everything was supposed to be beautiful, but why did it turn out like this?
