"Stay back!" She pressed the knife tip against her own throat.
Everyone froze, the air electric with tension.
"Linda, honey, put the knife down. We can talk this through." Steven inched forward, hands raised.
"One more step and I'll do it!" Linda's hand trembled convincingly.
Tears spilled down her cheeks as she choked out: "I'm pregnant. Three months along."
Margaret covered her mouth in surprise, her gaze moving back and forth between Linda and Steven.
With her free hand, Linda pulled a pregnancy test from her pocket and tossed it onto the floor.
"Look! See for yourselves!" Her voice cracked with desperation.
Margaret snatched up the test, eyes widening at the positive result.
"How dare you terrorize a pregnant woman!" Margaret's demeanor transformed instantly as she positioned herself between Marcus and Linda, with Steven joining her defensive stance.
Amid the chaos, Linda discreetly pulled out her phone and dialed 911.
The livestream viewer count exploded past 100,000 as Marcus retreated, the hostile crowd closing in around him.
Soon, police sirens wailed in the distance.
"We received a report about someone disrupting a funeral," the officer announced as he approached.
Marcus struggled against the officer's grip. "Officer, please, you don't understand!"
The mourners unanimously condemned the intruder who had disrupted their solemn funeral.
The officer shoved Marcus's head down and bundled him into the patrol car.
Meanwhile, Steven's phone buzzed continuously as donations flooded in.
"Jesus Christ, this is like printing money," Steven muttered, watching the numbers climb on his screen.
