Daisy was bored in the villa, afraid that her thoughts would affect the baby in her belly, so she went into the kitchen to cook some food. Mrs. Cara also followed to help her daughter. The two of them chatted while cooking.
"Daisy, when are we leaving here? I'm a little worried. Even though that man saved us, we don't know him and I don't know why he kept us here. I'm afraid that..."
Before her mother could finish, Daisy interrupted her. "Don't worry too much, I don't think he's a bad person. Besides, if he has any intentions towards us, there's no need to keep us here."
"But I still feel uneasy."
"In that case, when he comes back, I'll talk to him and we'll leave." Daisy comforted her mother, she wasn't afraid of that man but felt that his breath was a bit familiar, she couldn't explain it clearly but she felt a sense of trust, especially when she looked into his eyes, she thought of Atlas, even though he was Atlas. But how could that be, Atlas couldn't walk. Moreover, he couldn't see her without recognizing her.
The man standing at the door listening to Daisy and her mother talking was silent, when he was about to turn away, he heard a gentle voice behind him. "You're back? My mother and I are almost done cooking, you can eat with us."
The man paused slightly, he didn't say anything, just nodded and was about to leave, but before he could take two steps, she called him back: "Wait, wait a moment."
Daisy put down the ladle of soup, and slowly walked to the man's side, she looked at his dry, bloody hand and frowned, "Your hand is injured."
Only then did the man notice his arm, seeing blood flowing everywhere, he quickly hid his hand behind his back so she couldn't see it anymore.
Seeing his actions, Daisy just felt funny: "I see what you're hiding, come sit on the chair, and I'll bandage you."
The man wanted to say no but remembered that he was playing dumb, Daisy also quickly went to get the medicine box. There was no other way, the man had to sit down on the chair and wait for her.
Mrs. Cara was cooking in the kitchen, looking out anxiously. Not long after, Daisy brought the first aid kit, she looked at the man and said:
"Give me your hand."
The man obediently held out his hand in front of her, Daisy wiped the blood off him first, saw the cut on his hand frowned, and asked: "Did you get stabbed?"
The man avoided her, neither nodding nor shaking his head. Daisy knew he couldn't say anything so she didn't ask anymore, she didn't know who he was but perhaps his identity was a bit complicated.
She continued to bandage his wound, not saying anything more, the atmosphere between the two suddenly became silent but seemed very harmonious, the man couldn't help but stare at her without taking his eyes off her until she finished bandaging, he didn't even notice.
"Brian." Daisy waved her hand in front of him, the man finally regained his composure.
"What are you thinking, I called you so many times but you didn't hear," Daisy exclaimed.
Of course, the man couldn't answer her, Daisy didn't care and said: "After eating, I want to talk to you, okay?"
During the meal, Daisy couldn't eat, but the man looked at her worriedly, wanting to give her something but didn't know what to get. At this time, Daisy had already eaten a piece of meat but after chewing it twice, she covered her mouth with a look like she was about to vomit.
"Daisy, are you okay?" Mrs. Cara saw this and asked worriedly, the man opposite was also in a hurry, worried. Daisy shook her head to signal that she was fine and tried to swallow the meat, a glass of water was brought in front of her. Daisy also conveniently took it and drank, when there was no more meat taste in her mouth, she felt a little better.
'Thank you." She smiled slightly at the man, then looked at a table of food that she didn't want to eat anymore and said: 'I'll go upstairs first, you two can continue eating."
'But you haven't eaten anything yet, can I cook porridge for you?" Mrs. Cara asked.
'No need, I'll eat more later if I'm hungry, I can't swallow anything right now." Daisy sighed, although the food on the table was full of her favorite dishes, just looking at it made her want to vomit. Daisy finished speaking and wanted to stand up, but the man's phone was placed in front of her, on which was written: "What do you want to eat, I'll buy it for you?"
After reading it, Daisy said: "No need to worry about it."
The man shook his head, showing that he didn't care, the phone still hadn't been put down, and his eyes were still staring at her. Seeing him so determined, Daisy thought for a moment and said: "Then buy me some dried sweet potatoes, add some dried plums."
"Daughter, how can you eat like that?" Mrs. Cara frowned, the man thought the same.
"Right now, I don't want to eat anything, eating some snacks is fine, I'll eat later when I'm hungry." Daisy smacked her lips and said.
It's not easy for pregnant women to eat. Hearing this, the man stood up without saying a word and went out. There was only Daisy and her mother at the dining table, but she quickly left the chair and returned to her room. After two days here, her mood changed a bit, she no longer had nightmares at night but suddenly saw him in her dreams.
He hugged her, gently patting her to sleep, that image was so real but when she woke up, everything disappeared, he was no longer there and she didn't know where to go to find him.
She couldn't help but say that she unconsciously missed him again, every time she had nothing to do, his image always clung to her, Daisy painfully laughed and rubbed her belly and whispered: "Baby, help me have more strength to overcome this."
Fortunately, the baby appeared at the right time, so that she could persevere until now, otherwise, she was afraid that she would follow him, for the first time she became so weak, without the love of a father, being teased by friends, being beaten and scolded, even poverty couldn't make her weak, only him, his disappearance made her feel that this world became empty as if there was no one.
The man who brought food to Daisy stood outside the door and saw her like this, his hand tightly holding the bag in his hand, wanting to say something but couldn't, he could only knock on the door twice.
Daisy heard the knock on the door and immediately withdrew her emotions and looked at the door, seeing the man, she hoarsely said: "Are you leaving so fast?"
Unexpectedly, this man's efficiency was quite good, right? It only took fifteen minutes, is there a snack shop nearby?
He walked to the bed and handed the food bag in front of her, Daisy said thank you and took it, opened the food bag took out a piece of potato, and put it in her mouth. "Hmm, the taste here is not bad."
Daisy ate a few more bites, seeing her eating so well, the man breathed a sigh of relief.
After finishing half of the bag, Daisy put the food bag on the table, looked at him seriously, and said: "Tomorrow I want to leave here with my mother, I have to go back home in two days to see how things are going?"
Hearing this, the man's expression changed slightly, he took out his phone and wrote a few lines, then handed it to her: "Everything is fine, you can stay here."
"How do you know?" Daisy frowned and asked.
The man wrote again: "I am Mr. Drkov's subordinate, he asked me to take care of you, he has arranged everything at home, when it's done I will pick you up, don't worry."
"How can I trust you?" After reading it, she spoke again, her eyes constantly observing him.
"Please believe me, I will not harm you, and there is no way to harm you." The man continued to show her the message he had written.
For some reason, looking at his determined eyes, she couldn't help but ask: "Then when can I go?"
"Soon, I'll take you home."
"Then tell me what's going on at the Drkov house, did Dalziel do anything to my grandfather? And Yaretzi, does she want to kill me or was she ordered by someone else?" These were the things Daisy had been worried about these past few days, she still didn't understand Yaretzi's purpose but it was related to Dalziel.
The man was both thoughtful and worried, and sent another message: "Don't think too much, someone will handle this for you, your job is to rest and take care of your pregnancy, listen to me, okay?"
"Hmm, why should I listen to you, why didn't you tell me?" Daisy raised her eyebrows and snorted at her, what was this man's purpose, although he had written it through a text message, his words were gentle and charming, really making others suspicious.
"The situation is complicated, I still can't tell you." The man patiently wrote back.
"So what? What if I insist on knowing? Will you tell me or not?"
The man shook his head helplessly. Daisy propped her hand on her chin and said, "Then I have to go back. You can't stop me."
The man felt helpless when he heard this and didn't know what to do. His hand holding the phone paused as if he was thinking about something.
After a while, he moved his fingers again. This time, he wrote, "Consider it as me begging you."
Daisy was a little surprised. Did this man go this far because he wanted her to stay? He even said that he was begging her.
After the surprise passed, Daisy sighed again. 'Okay, but I won't stay too long. I'll limit it to a week. No matter what you say, I won't stay."
The man nodded decisively.
