Chapter 70

“You were worried about me just now, right?”

Her unexpected question made him not know how to react. Daisy didn't expect him to respond, but she only said three words: "I'm very happy."

Her words kept a certain man up all night. He wondered if he was worried about this woman. No, how is that possible?

However, he felt like he was unusual. Even when he climbed into bed with her, he didn't know why he listened to her. Everything seemed to happen so naturally that it was hard for him to grasp.

Not long after, he heard the steady breathing of the person next to him, and his body gradually relaxed.

One night, they simply slept in the same bed without doing anything.—The next day when Daisy woke up, she no longer saw the man next to her. She pushed herself to sit up. Her headache was gone. It had been a long time since she had slept in bed. The feeling was so comfortable that she didn't want to get out of bed at all, but she couldn't help but wake up.

She wanted to take out her phone to check the time but found her phone on the table near the bed. She lazily crawled over to get it.

As she crawled towards Atlas, she felt his warmth still lingering there. That said, he just got out of bed.

She reached for her phone and received a call from her mother. She immediately called out: "Hello."

“Daisy, are you just waking up now?”

Mrs. Cara's voice sounded suspicious.

Daisy yawned again and said: "Yes, what's wrong, Mom?"

“Do you usually wake up this late?” Mrs. Cara asked again.

“Late? I usually wake up at six o'clock."

Because she had just woken up, Daisy's voice was still a bit tired.

“It's eleven o'clock, can you tell me if it's still early or not?”

Daisy was startled and looked at the phone. Just like her mother said, it was past eleven o'clock.

“What's wrong Daisy, did you sleep late last night?”

“Yes, last night my husband and I talked until late before going to sleep, so we woke up a bit late in the morning.”

Daisy replied, not so much as an excuse as it was the truth.

“You are young but you still have to keep your strength.”

Mrs. Cara couldn't help but admonish, not thinking that they would just talk all night.

Daisy knew her mother misunderstood her, but she didn't explain, just said: "I know, so why did you call me?"

“My grandmother's death anniversary is coming up in a few days. I want to go home and burn incense for her, so I called to let you know."

Hearing that, her mood dropped a bit. If she hadn't gotten married, she would have gone with her mother. She asked: “Are you alone? I don't feel secure."

"I'm used to it, why don't you feel secure? Have you finished eating the food from yesterday?"

Mrs. Cara didn't want her child to worry so she changed the subject.

"There's some ham left. Okay Mom, can you teach me how to make pickles? My husband likes to eat this, I want to make it for him."

Suddenly, when asked by her mother, she remembered the pickles and asked her mother's secret to make pickles: "Is that so? Let me make you another big jar. You're still busy, do you have time to do it?"

“Just take some time to do it, I want to do it for him, please guide me.”

Daisy said a little excitedly, it was rare for her to want to learn something.

"Okay, I'll text you later on how to do it. I have something to do now so I'll hang up first."

“Yes, goodbye Mom.”Daisy also heard someone calling her mother on the other side, so she didn't bother her anymore.

When she put the phone down on the table, she saw how long he had been in front of her.

“Did you just do your hygiene?”

"How do you feel?"

Atlas asked a question unrelated to her question.

Daisy saw that he cared about her, and she happily said: "I'm very healthy, nothing happened, but why did you get up so late today? Does having me by your side keep you up at night?”

“No, I didn't do anything.”

After speaking, he turned around and left, not paying attention to her anymore.

The situation was like this, in the morning he woke up according to his biological time but felt a weight next to him. He turned around to see Daisy holding his arm and sleeping soundly. He tried to remove her hand but couldn't, so he kept this position until she automatically let go of his hand, waiting until half past ten in the morning.

Of course, he wouldn't tell her about this but he pushed the wheelchair out of the room.

Daisy looked at him bewildered, completely unaware that last night she was holding someone's arm while sleeping. She stretched her arms and went into the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face.

In the afternoon, they got in the car and left the villa to return to the city.

Drkov Group held a press conference, Dalziel walked in, and next to her was another woman, attracting many people's attention, many lenses pointed at them.

The woman holding Dalziel's hand smiled brightly at the camera as dozens of lenses pointed at her. She also hoped they would film it a little clearer, preferably with a close-up of her and Dalziel holding hands. Many people already knew the identity of this woman, so the press conference had not yet begun and asked why Winifred had come here.

That's right, the person standing shoulder to shoulder with Dalziel is none other than her.

In response to the reporter's question, Dalziel loudly announced: "Everyone, today I want to announce a story. The woman next to me is Winifred, who from now on will officially be my future wife. In ten days we will hold the wedding."
