On the floor, furniture was scattered everywhere, broken pieces from ceramic vases were scattered everywhere, and even under Daisy's feet, there were a few pieces.
However, this was not what shocked her, this scene was not the first time she had seen it.
What surprised her was the man with red eyes and shortness of breath sitting in a wheelchair. He was breathing so much that his wheelchair shook. It looks a bit scary. Daisy ran to him in panic.
'Atlas? What's the matter with you?"
Daisy knelt in front of the wheelchair and patted his face, hoping he could hear her calling.
'Don't touch me, get out, women are fake, dirty, get out, get away from me."
Atlas suddenly got excited and pushed her hard, causing Daisy to fall to the ground and hit a piece of glass. Daisy felt a little pain looking at her bleeding hand.
She let the blood flow and looked at the man in front of her.
Currently, she has to calm this man down because she sees that he is agitated about something.
She used her gentlest voice to advise him: "Atlas, can you calm down first? Don't be so emotional. First, listen to me."
'I don't listen to you, go away."
Daisy didn't know where he got the book and then casually threw it at her. Now just seeing a woman makes him crazy and frustrated. No woman can appear in front of him.
Daisy saw the book flying towards her and she reacted quickly to avoid it but it still hit her shoulder.
This is a book with hundreds of pages, both heavy and thick. It hit her shoulder, which couldn't be said to be painless, but Daisy still held it. If she bleeds she can still endure it. What good is this?
She felt that no matter what she said, this man would not listen. Practical action is best. She simply stood up and walked over quietly, hugging Atlas and patting him on the shoulder.'Okay okay."
Suddenly being hugged by someone who unexpectedly turned out to be a woman, Atlas became even more angry, wanting to push the person who was hugging him away, but he heard her say: "Atlas, listen clearly, any woman can cheat on you but I won't do it."
"I'm your wife, do you remember? As a wife, you must love your husband."
"How could I cheat? If one day you find out I cheated on you, you can strangle me to death at any time. I won't resist, can you calm down and listen to me?"
Daisy talked for a while, seeing that this man showed no signs of struggling, his body relaxed a bit.
She continued: 'You know, don't say you hate women. I also hate men. But I still hug you here, do you know why? Because you are my husband."
Hearing that, Atlas's pupils dilated a bit, Daisy continued: "When I was young, my mother and I were abandoned by our rich and powerful father. He was drunk and got my mother pregnant, but he thought my mother seduced him."So my mother was sent away without mercy. She struggled to raise me alone. Later, when my mother got sick and needed money for medical treatment, I ran to him to ask for help."
"I didn't ask him for money, I just borrowed it. He didn't give it to me but cruelly chased me out the door. From then on I hated him so much, I hated ungrateful people who did wrong but didn't take responsibility."
'But even though I hate him, I don't hate all men in this world. Because I know men will have one or the other, and women too, not everyone will betray or hurt you."
"I trust you're not a traitor, you can also trust me not to lie to you, okay?"
Daisy asked gently and waited for his answer. Time passed like that, the room became quiet, and only the breathing of two people could be heard. He didn't say anything, she didn't say anything anymore, just to let him calm down.
At midnight, everything was quiet, everyone was asleep, only Daisy was still struggling to sleep. She secretly glanced at the back of the man lying on the bed. Her emotions were extremely complicated, according to her thinking habits. When she put her hand on her forehead, her hand twitched again. In the darkness, her eyebrows frowned tightly. It wasn't pain, but her hand felt sore so she had to put it down.
Remembering that time, it was very difficult for her to calm that man down, but she discovered that his hand was bleeding too much. When she stood up, she felt dizzy. Fortunately, she is not a weak person. She quickly finished treating her wound.
However, she discovered that Atlas kept staring at her, his eyes seemed to be searching and studying as if wanting to fixate on her. Daisy tried to act like she didn't see. She was planning to call the maid to clean up the mess but she was afraid of alarming him so she cleaned the room herself.
Throughout the process, Atlas remained speechless.
She didn't know what he was thinking and had no intention of finding out.
Waiting for her to finish cleaning, he went into his small room and continued to immerse himself in the darkness. She did not advise him but gave him space to think.
In the dim light of the nightlight, Daisy saw that he was not wearing a blanket. It was late autumn. Even though it's not cold, if you don't cover yourself with a blanket, you can easily catch a cold. She couldn't help but get off the sofa and go to his bed, gently covering him with the blanket, her movements gentle so as not to wake him.
After covering him with a blanket, she didn't turn around but quietly sat down in the wheelchair right at the head of the bed, looking at him.
