Chapter 47

Mrs. Cara heard that and breathed a sigh of relief. Although she was still half-believing, her daughter said so. It was useless for her to worry anymore. She only added a few words: 'Okay, I'm just worried about you. That's it, Daisy, take good care of yourself, okay?"

'Yes, I know what to do."

Daisy put down the phone, her thoughts were a bit heavy.

At that moment, the room door opened, and the smell of high-quality shower gel rushed straight into her nose. Atlas pushed the wheelchair out of the bathroom and saw her in the room. He just glanced without saying anything.

His reaction was different from what she thought, has this man's personality changed today? He didn't seem as angry as usual but was quite calm.

She spoke again: "I've finished arranging your things, see if anything is missing."

"No need."

Atlas replied faintly, his eyes fixed on her. He thought a lot about this woman's purpose but couldn't figure it out.

Why did she act so gentle and caring towards him? He originally thought that she was doing this for her grandfather, but her actions and words were far beyond what he imagined.

Even if it was for her grandfather's sake, she didn't need to admit that he was her husband in front of others, so why did she have to do so?

He originally didn't want to think about this issue. Whatever her purpose was, it had nothing to do with him, at most it was just money and status, but she made his calm state of mind much more disturbed.

He hated this woman so much, every time she touched him, he should have pushed her away.

But why, why didn't he push her away but did he feel a little attached? What's wrong with him? Atlas now felt disgusted with himself, this woman appeared from nowhere and messed with his mind.

Daisy didn't know what he was thinking so she walked over to where he was sitting and said, "Atlas, can I ask you something?"

It was this voice again, Atlas came out of his thoughts and looked at her, what was this woman planning to do?

Not hearing anything he said, she continued to say: "Just now I heard that you speak French so fluently, I also want to learn French. Can you teach me, I promise to be a good student."

Daisy blinked at him, her eyes filled with longing.

Atlas didn't look her in the eyes but coldly asked: 'What are you learning it for?"

This woman's sudden desire to learn French could not help but make him suspect that she had her own goals.

'I just like to study, not for any other purpose. But knowing one more language is better, right? Can you teach me?"

Atlas thought for a moment, he said coldly: "Who do you think you are to want me to teach you?"

Hearing that, Daisy smiled and said: "No matter what you say, I am your wife. Atlas, can't you teach me? I want to learn."

Daisy followed other people's tricks of appearing timid and she found that women used this trick quite effectively.

However, Atlas did not fall for the trap and instead began to get angry: "Daisy."

"I'm here."

She stood up and whispered into his ear.

Atlas's ears trembled a little, his whole body stiffened, and his lips pursed tightly.

Daisy also discovered this.

She was afraid that his emotions would be provoked, so she stopped teasing him, sighed, and said: "Sigh, forget it, I know I don't have the right to be taught by you, I can learn on my own. It's almost time, you prepare a little, I'll go out first."

Having finished speaking, Daisy left the room, leaving Atlas alone, not knowing if he was angry or embarrassed, his face was red.

At 11 p.m., at Mr. Leighton's office.

"Grandpa, why don't you transfer the shares to Dalziel? You know he and I know each other, he will be your grandson-in-law in the future."

As soon as Winifred returned home, she ran to Mr. Leighton to say these things.

After Mr. Leighton heard, he slapped the table: "If you don't know anything then shut up, Winifred, you disappoint me."

'Atlas is your fiance but you want to annul your marriage to him. That made me embarrassed and I didn't know how to talk to Mr. Drkov. Now you say Dalziel is my nephew-in-law. I told you that wasn't the case."

Having finished speaking, Mr. Leighton breathed heavily and appeared very angry, but Winifred did not pay attention to this.

When she heard Mr. Leighton like that, she said dissatisfiedly: "Atlas is already disabled. Why should I marry him? I don't want to marry a disabled person and then be laughed at by everyone. Grandpa, I love Dalziel now, can't you support us? Grandpa, I beg you. For the happiness of your grandchild, please agree to transfer your shares to him."

One cannot help but say that Mr. Leighton was both disappointed and angry when he heard his niece's words: 'What did Dalziel give you that made you so passionate about him? He asked you to force me to transfer my shares to him, right?"

'He didn't tell me to do it, he said he could handle it himself, but I want to give him a hand, please help me."

Winifred ran forward and hugged Mr. Leighton's arm. She turned in a pleading voice.

Mr. Leighton shook his niece's hand away, he said coldly: 'Wrong, Winifred, I did not accept your relationship with Dalziel. Now you want me to transfer the shares to him, this is not possible, you return to your room."

Winifred was pushed away a bit aggrieved: "Grandpa, don't you want me to get married?"

"You can marry anyone, but not Dalziel. Also, don't mention transferring my shares to him."

Having finished speaking, Mr. Leighton turned his back on his niece, indicating that he did not want to listen anymore.
