Chapter 38

She noticed that even though he was at home, this man never wore short-sleeved shirts, he always only wore long-sleeved T-shirts and the shirt color was only black or gray, dark like him.

But as soon as Daisy touched Atlas's sleeve before she could lift it, his other hand grabbed hers.

Even though his hand was shaking and covered in blue veins, he still held her hand very tightly: "Don't lift it."

'Why, let me treat your wound."

'No need, go out."

'Atlas, why are you so stubborn? Can't you see your hand is bleeding a lot? If you continue to delay, you will bleed to death. Do you want to die?"

Having finished speaking, she ignored this man and pushed his hand aside, she directly lifted his sleeve.

But as soon as she lifted it and looked at the man's arm, she couldn't help but take a breath of cold air.

His hand has many scars, they look very scary, some are bulging and even patchy, the two colors blue and red mixed look a bit brutal, this arm is no different from a demon's arm. Evil in the horror movies she often watches.

Atlas saw her shocked expression and thought she was disgusted with this arm. He wanted to blind this woman and stop her from seeing, but he couldn't do anything to her so he spoke again. "Go away."

At this moment, Daisy suddenly regained consciousness. She ignored the surprise in his eyes and focused on wiping away the blood running around his arm. While wiping, she asked: "Are you in pain?"

This time it turned to Atlas's surprise, this woman didn't run away when she saw his arm and she asked him if he was in pain, no one looked at his arm without screaming and running away. Why didn't she react?

Daisy didn't hear what he said and continued her movements. The way she handled the wound was very skillful. Not long after wiping his blood, she took out the bottle of hydrogen peroxide before pouring it into his wound. She looked at him again and reminded him: "It will be a little painful, just bear with it, it will pass soon."

Atlas's eyes looked intently at Daisy. No one had ever reminded him like that, including the nurses in the hospital. When treating his wound, they just wanted to do it quickly so they wouldn't have to look at him. This is the hand that makes people vomit but this woman is different, she can gently heal his wounds, why?

Isn't she afraid?

Atlas looked into her eyes, he wanted to see disgust in those eyes, but there was nothing. Her eyes were extremely calm without a single wave, she looked at his hand as if nothing happened. He only saw her surprised eyes when she first looked at this arm, he still didn't see any reaction from her.

He was a little skeptical, could it be that this woman was deliberately keeping calm? She was really scared inside. That's right because she received benefits from her grandfather, she tried to show off in front of him.

Atlas would rather believe that she was pretending than believe that she had a good heart and was not afraid of such a disgusting arm because he did not want to look at it.

Daisy began to wrap him in bandages. His wound was right at his elbow, so bandaging was a bit difficult, but she still bandaged it very skillfully.

Having finished speaking, she couldn't help but unconsciously touch one of his core scars and then run down his arm to his wrist. She didn't know that her actions had angered a certain man. Atlas is about to get angry. Then he heard her ask: 'Are you in a lot of pain?"

Daisy's voice could not hide the pain. These scars were very large, proving that his injuries were not small. She could tell that it would be very painful, a normal person wouldn't be able to endure even a small wound.

But he injured his entire arm, no one would believe him if he said it didn't hurt.

She raised her head to look at him, and their eyes couldn't help but meet, her eyes were slightly red, a bit indescribably gentle while he just looked cold, but looking closely at the bottom of his eyes, something was trembling.

What is the look on this woman's face, does she feel sorry for him, he doesn't need to.

Atlas pursed his lips without saying a word but his eyes still did not leave her. Her soft hand placed on his scar made Atlas's body a bit stiff.

The two silently looked at each other without saying anything. She felt his arm trembling, regaining composure, she quietly pulled down his sleeve. Then she remembered something, and asked: 'Before, why didn't I see these scars in the bathroom?"

Atlas heard her question, his eyes wavered a bit and then unconsciously looked at the bookshelf. Daisy followed his gaze and she immediately saw a skin-colored arm made of silicon. She was a bit surprised then suddenly understood something.

Turns out he used this prosthetic arm to cover up his creepy arm. No wonder he didn't let her bathe at that time. Are you afraid she will see your arm?

Daisy turned her gaze towards the man. His eyes never left that arm for even a minute. She couldn't help but say: "From now on, you don't need to wear that thing in your room, it's very uncomfortable."

'Hmm, aren't you scared?"

Atlas said hoarsely, he didn't want to ask but he couldn't help it and wanted to know.

'Even though it looks a bit scary, I'm not scared, it's just a few scars. It's not like I haven't seen it before."

Daisy said calmly, she smiled at him.

For a moment, Atlas felt that this smile was so dazzling that it seemed to pierce his heart.

Daisy looked at his face, poured him a cup of hot water, and said: "Drink some water."

He wanted to lift his hand but couldn't. Seeing that, Daisy immediately brought the glass of water to his mouth.
