'What did you just say?" He asked, his hands gripping the arms of his throne-like chair.
'Your son got mated to the daughter of Alpha Rex." Beta Stones repeated and before anyone could blink, Alpha Victor's hand was already gripping his neck.
'What the hell were you doing this happened!?" His eyes were glaring at the half-opened one of Stones.
Ria and Nova screamed and were now trembling at the extraordinary speed of the Alpha and the strength he possessed.
A group of rough-looking men with tattoos and shabby beards barged in, but Alpha Victor raised his free hand, and they bowed, stepping away.
Stone's face was red at this point, he had veins popping out of his face as his mouth struggled to form words.
'What was your good-for-nothing son doing!?" Alpha Victor pushed Stones to the wall, producing a loud thud at the impact; the women screamed at that, too.
'He…"
'He tried his best Victor! You can't blame the poor guy." Diana boldly said, earning looks of surprise from everyone except Lilian.
Beta Stones tried to give Diana warning signals even as he was close to being unconscious but she spared him no glance.
Snapping his head towards his daughter's direction, his eyes shot daggers at her.
'What did you just say?" He asked slowly as if threading on a dangerous path to catch a prey.
Nova, Ria, Mateo, and Lilian gave way, shifting out of the vision of the rogue Alpha as far as possible.
'You should blame your good for nothing son, I mean…"
Alpha Victor flashed to her front in seconds, dropping Beta Stones like a sac of tubers.
Standing toe to toe with her father and staring at him in the eyes, she continued, not being afraid of the repercussions.
'Your illegitimate son Liam…*slap*"
Gasps echoed throughout the room; Diana held her now reddened checks, glaring at her father with her eyes shining with tears; she continued.
'Your illegitimate son Liam begged for her. He kept coming back for her; he was pathetic, just like his mother." Her fox-like eyes stared at him; she smiled weirdly, her eyes losing their light.
Alpha Victor was trembling with rage staring at his last daughter.
'Did you stop to wonder about this?" She raised her hand with a little difficulty to his face, his eyes followed her bandaged arm.
'HE DID THIS TO ME! All because of her."
'Did you wonder why he is that way?" She pointed towards the unconscious Aiden.
'Go ahead Victor, hit me." Diana challenged when her father's hand raised itself in the air but he just folded his hand and teleported to his seat.
Stretching his left leg, he touched Aiden's outstretched hand and a green glow covered him. He coughed first, then jerked up.
His eyes widened when they met with Alpha Victor's fierce eyes. 'Alpha…" He immediately went on his knees.
'Why didn't you get mated to her?" That was his first question.
'Don't you love her?" Alpha Victor asked the confused Aiden.
Beta Stones, who now had himself under check, staggered a little towards the Alpha. 'This was not the plan Alpha, your son made it difficult."
'One more word from you, you'll be gone." Alpha Victor said this without sparing him a glance.
'We came here to get mated." Diana stood in front of the kneeling Aiden.
'Then you could have stopped her from coming in contact with my son." He was relaxed now.
'It doesn't make any difference, Alpha; you would still make their separation happen. Right now, I need to be mated to him to continue with your plan."
'Is this a threat?" He looked at his weak daughter, his brows raised, his body shining with sweat.
'It could be anything you want." She wasn't backing down even when the rest were cowering in fear.
'You would have been the best candidate." Alpha Victor rested his back on the backrest; he looked more relaxed, but the same could not be said for the rest.
'I am the best candidate, Victor; I have remained loyal to you all my life," Diana argued, her hand pointing towards the floor to emphasize her point.
'But you have no ability." He smiled sardonically.
Diana closed her eyes and breathed deeply for a while before opening them again. 'I have an ability."
'A useless one."
'It isn't useless!"
'But you are weak. See?" He pointed towards her band-aided arm.
'I…"
'Enough!" Alpha Victor raised his hand.
Standing from his seat, he walked past Diana towards Stones.
'Do you still need the Silverstone pack as yours?"
'I do." Stones replied rigidly.
'Then get me, my son!"
'But…"
Alpha Victor pointed at Ria whose legs gave way. 'Or she stays." He smirked.
'I will do that soon."
'I don't want soon, I want now!"
'But we need to get them mated."
'Why?" He kept smiling like he had gone crazy.
'To strengthen the bond between us."
'LEECHES!" Alpha Victor exclaimed, laughing out loud.
'You all are leeches."
'Victor?" Diana came to stand in front of her father.
'Why do you need him when you have me?" She asked genuinely, her puffy face looking a bit sad.
'Power. Strength. Mention it." He walked around the courtroom, pushing the fear-stricken Aiden to the ground before walking toward Mateo and Nova.
'I love your ambition but you are unfit." He spoke to Diana while looking deeply into the shaky eyes of her fake parents.
'You did a good job, you can go." He released them and they bowed before partly running out of the courtroom.
Diana felt like a knife was stuck in her guts and then twisted painfully.
'I said to report everything to me." He paused in front of Lilian whose eyes were glued to the ground, her hands gripping each other to avoid them shaking so badly.
'I tried to…but it was always risky…"
'Of course, I understand." He placed a hand on her shoulder and she fell to the ground.
'Alpha Victor!" Diana called but couldn't move her feet.
'You are relieved of your duty."
'Leave before you die." He said robotically, and knowing she couldn't stand or walk, Lilian crawled out; the door opened from the outside, letting her pass.
'You took her power from her." Diana accused.
'Of what use is it?" Alpha Victor went back to his seat.
'So she is the daughter of Alpha Rex?" Diana asked with her hands folded as she thought about Alpha Rex's reaction back in the sick bay.
'It's a little wonder why he behaved the way he did towards her." She scoffed, and her heart went cold.
'What do you mean by that?" Alpha Victor's eyes were trained on his daughter's sneering face.
'Would I get Aiden or not?" She asked.
Aiden, whose knees were beginning to ache, looked at the father and daughter duo with disgust and fear.
He turned to look at his helpless parents and his teeth grounded themselves in anger.
'I heard he is into her. Why do you want him?"
'You will not use him to lure your son in here." Diana's eyes blazed.
'And what if I do?" Alpha Victor had a cunny smile on his face.
Aiden looked at both father and daughter and felt the urge to tear them apart. How dare they talk about him like he wasn't in the midst of them?
'I will only give him to you on two conditions." He walked back to his seat in measured steps.
'You keep mute and do nothing, keep being the useless brat you are." Alpha Victor said, sitting down and heaving a sigh like nothing happened earlier.
'Can't you guys say something!?" She glared at Stones and Ria, who stood tongue-tied and like statues almost at the corner of the room now.
'Number 2, you get your son to do his work, Stone. Remember he would be the Beta to my son if things go down well." Alpha Victor flexed his boulder of a muscle.
Aiden's eyes widened as he looked at his parents in time to see them nod in response to the rogue Alpha's words.
'WHAT!?" He drew the attention of everyone.
'I won't!" He yelled in time, knowing what he would be walking into, but the Alpha laughed out loud.
'Your fate has been decided." He looked down at Aiden with contempt.
'Go and prepare for your Mating ceremony. We will dine and make merry."
'No!" Aiden blurted out, making everything go to a standstill.
'Aiden!" His father warned.
'What did you just say?" Alpha Victor asked, coming down from his seat.
