Chapter 367

Bertha used her fastest speed to rush back home.

She controlled her excitement and stood at the door of the villa, fixing her somewhat messy hair and clothes.

Then she calmly turned the doorknob and opened the door.

The living room had no lights on, but in the dark scene, there was a cold breath.

As if realizing something, Bertha turned on the light, her eyes were immediately attracted to the figure sitting neatly on the sofa.

It's early morning now.

The temperature in the house dropped very low, but Shane only wore a thin cotton nightgown.

It was obvious that his lips were dark blue from the cold, but he didn't seem to feel the cold, he was as motionless as a sculpture, his face expressionless.

'Didn't I tell you to go to bed early? Why are you sitting on the sofa waiting for me? You don't turn on the lights, and you don't put on extra clothes."

Bertha immediately took the thick fleece coat from the coat rack and helped him put it on.

As soon as she touched him, she discovered that his whole body was very cold.

Bertha was both angry and heartbroken. She quickly held his hand blew hot air onto his hand and rubbed it to create heat.

Shane didn't resist at all, he just stared at her silently, his voice was hoarse and low. 'I haven't seen you come back safely yet. I can't sleep. I'm so worried."

'Aren't I already back? Come on, let's go upstairs to bed."

He didn't move, he just asked. 'Where did you go tonight?"

Bertha had long thought of an excuse. "The third brother is not at home. Mica drank too much. I went back to Griselda's house to take care of her for a while. After she fell asleep, I returned."

Shane didn't speak, he silently lowered his head, his hand hidden in his sleeve was clenched into a fist, and the blue veins on his arm appeared.

Bertha discovered that his breathing was not right, she reluctantly lifted his chin.

However, she saw that his eyes were red, and there was a light layer of mist in his dark eyes.

'Shane?"

Shane's face turned cold, he pushed her hand away.

'You still want to lie to me, you went to see Bruno tonight, right?"

Bertha was a little startled. 'You already know everything..."

After receiving her affirmative answer, Shane felt even more suffocated, he had never felt as sad as he did now.

Water mist blurred his eyes, and an intense sadness wrapped tightly around his heart.

The first time he was in front of Bertha, a tear fell from the corner of his eye, he was in so much pain.

Bertha's eyes also turned red. She knew he had misunderstood her. She quickly explained. "I don't want to lie to you, I also know this cannot be hidden, I just haven't figured out how to say it yet."

She wanted to wait until she confirmed there was no problem with the medicine, then she would find an excuse to deal with that bad guy Bruno and share the good news with him.

But she didn't expect that she would be discovered by him.

'Shane, you…"

Bertha held out her hand, she tried to wipe away his tears

He grabbed her wrist so tightly that his fingers were shaking.

Shane was in so much pain that he couldn't breathe, his voice was a bit choked up, extremely heartbroken.

'Bertha, I know I don't have much time left, so I never thought about taking up your time. Even if you want to abandon me and leave now, I won't stop you."

'I also know that after I die, you will eventually have another man to love you, but why... did you choose Bruno?"

Turns out, he's always thought that way.

Feeling that he was annoying, he felt like he could die at any moment and felt guilty about staying by her side.

She breathed softly, stretched out her hand, and wanted to touch the other person's face.

"Shane, please listen to me..."

Shane shook her hand away. He turned his back to her and sobbed softly, his shoulders shaking.

After a while, he finally made up his mind and spoke. "I know he is your first love, there are many memories between the two of you. If you still like him, you want to choose him, then, I will fulfill that wish for you."

Having finished speaking, he did not look back and went upstairs.

Bertha was stunned, she was a little angry.

She was stunned for two seconds before chasing after him and speaking. "Shane, what the hell are you talking about? Do you have tofu on your mind?"

Shane ran faster, like the wind, he went to the third floor and locked the door.

By the time Bertha ran to his room, Shane had already closed the door and she almost hit her head on the door.

She looked at the closed door, the anger inside her rising to her head.

"Shane, you dare close the door and lock me out? Can you listen to my explanation? Open the door."

Bertha stood at the door for two minutes, there was no sound inside, and Shane showed no signs of wanting to open the door.

It's already late at night, Bertha has been busy all day with almost no time to rest, she is very tired.

She didn't expect that when she got home, she would have to endure the sight of Shane locking the door and not allowing her to enter the room. Because she was so tired, her patience was finally exhausted.

"If you don't want to hear my explanation, then it's up to you. Wait two more days, you calm down and then we can talk."

Her response was a long silence.

She didn't say anything more and went into the next room.

Shane stood behind the door until he heard the door close next door. He sat down on the ground, his arms wrapped around his knees.
