Chapter 175

Venn's expression became stiff and serious.

He furrowed his eyebrows, his voice was very low. 'Even if he doesn't come, I can still save you. Did he tell you this?"

Bertha let out a sigh, she put down her teacup, stood up, walked towards the door, and said. 'He didn't say anything, I guessed it myself."

Venn looked at the cup of tea that hadn't touched a single drop, his expression was complicated, not knowing what he was thinking.

From Venn, Bertha returned to the beach villa.

As soon as she opened the door, the aroma of food entered her nose.

Bertha took off her coat and hung it up on the clothes rack.

Derek was in the kitchen when he heard the noise, he quickly came out to greet her.

Derek hadn't even gotten close to Bertha when he saw her clutching a piece of document in her hand.

The memory of the last time she asked him to sign the employment contract termination agreement was still fresh, his intuition was certain that the document was not a good thing.

The initial joy in his heart was replaced by complexity. Derek turned around and wanted to go upstairs to his room.

"Stop."

Bertha coldly called out to him.

He stopped.

Her cold tone was certainly not a good thing.

Derek didn't turn around, put his hand on the railing, and coughed twice. 'I feel dizzy, I want to go to sleep."

'What's the point in pretending to be sick and hiding?"

Bertha was still standing at the door, she stared at his broad back in the distance, her tone was more serious. 'Come here, sign, I won't say it a third time."

Derek bit his thin lips, he turned his head, his eyes meeting hers.

'If you don't sign, I won't say it a third time."

Bertha held the document tightly in her hand, she approached him and spoke solemnly. 'I don't like anyone's debt. This time you saved me, I owe you, your signing is the best result."

She finished speaking and handed the document to him.

Derek didn't take it, his eyes looked at the big letters. 'Terminate the labor contract, it was like iron nails stabbed into his heart, causing him pain, it seemed like he had no way to breathe.

Bertha, without any expression on her face, continued speaking. 'This is also something you should do as my servant. You must obey your master's final orders."

This is an order.

There is no room for negotiation or bargaining.

She wants to clearly define boundaries with him, no matter how hard he tries, won't she accept him again?

So is she determined, she wants to be a stranger to him from now on forever.

Derek lowered his eyes, his eyelashes trembled slightly, and a layer of moisture gradually appeared in his dark eyes.

His eyes no longer had the same arrogance and hatred as before.

He felt like his heart was being cruelly squeezed, he was in so much pain that he wanted to die.

His pale handsome face could not hide his weakness.

Bertha saw his expression in her eyes.

But her face was indifferent, without the slightest change, her hand raised the document an inch high.

Derek stopped breathing, his fingertips trembled as he received the documents, and his heart was extremely complicated.

Just as Bertha turned around to go to the coffee table to get her pen, she heard a tearing sound.

Derek's dark eyes were cold, he without hesitation shredded the documents again.

This time he even threw them directly above her head.

Small pieces of white paper fell like snow onto her head.

Is he provoking her?

Bertha was really angry.

Her anger rose violently, whirling, screaming, rising from below, heat rising to the top of her head.

She gritted her teeth. 'Do you want to die?"

The man on the other side of her did not flinch. When facing her, his eyes were deep and extremely gloomy.

His hand moved to the belt at his side, he unbuckled it.

"What do you want to do?"

Bertha stood still, not moving.

Did he want to hit her?

With the little strength he had now, did he think he could beat her?

She was angry, staring at him, she silently gritted her teeth, waiting for him to make a move.

But the next second, she saw him placing his belt in her hand.

Then Derek turned around and knelt on one knee, his broad back covered in only a thin white shirt.

He says. 'I will not obey this order. I made you angry, I accept the punishment, you just keep hitting me, until you feel comfortable, until your anger calms down."

Bertha was speechless.

She was angry, and suddenly she felt funny.

'Is there something wrong with your mind? Is this your special hobby? Do you want to endure the pain?"

Derek bit his lower lip, his eye sockets turning red.

He is not someone who wants to suffer.

Even though he had suffered in the army before, he was still afraid of pain.

But compared to the pain, he didn't want to lose her even more, he didn't want to be a stranger to her. If so, he will feel uncomfortable and suffocated.

'All of that is just for you. I want to repay the debt I owe you, not because I want myself to be at peace, but because I want you to give me a chance to start again, I like you..."

Derek talked so much that his voice was dry, he coughed so much that his shoulders shook but his back remained straight.

'You like me?"

Bertha's red lips pursed tightly, she looked down at him for a long moment.

Her eyes were quiet and still, her voice was cold as ice, without any warmth.

'You said that three years late and I still don't feel moved. To me, this late love is cheaper than roadside weeds."

'You want to start again? Impossible."

Derek's breathing suddenly went numb. "I'm sorry…"

His hands were clenched, determined to defy everything, and he stubbornly closed his eyes. 'Then you can hit me, I can't sign it anyway."

Bertha frowned. 'For the past two days, you have had such a stupid fever? With this weak body of yours that just recovered from the illness, if I act cruelly, how much can you endure?"

She also knew he had a fever and had just recovered.

Derek felt both complicated and sad in his heart, and the water in his eyes grew more and more.
