Chapter 135

Besides sarcasm and coldness, there was no emotion left in those eyes.

Derek's heart ached.

He was not surprised when the words Mrs. Victoria said that day the bodyguards overheard and they informed her, but he absolutely would not do such dirty things.

'I will never do such actions to force you. From now on, I will not lie and pretend with you anymore. Whether you believe it or not, I will prove it to you. I owe you three years of youth, whether compensation or pay the price, I am willing to accept, as long as you can give me one more chance."

"Opportunity?"

When Bertha heard that, she burst out laughing. 'I don't care if you took the wrong medicine today or if you have a problem with your mind, but there is this matter, I have to tell you. I will never remarry you, there is no possibility of that in my whole life unless I die."

Unless she dies?

Derek smiled painfully, he understood her personality but he still didn't give up, he had to try and it would make his heart hurt even more.

'It's because I hurt you so deeply, I don't deserve your forgiveness. So, let me spend the rest of my life by your side, I will be your maid for the rest of my life to atone for my sins."

Bertha slightly raised her eyebrows, curled her lips, and said. 'So, if I marry another man in the future, can you still stand and watch me and him being intimate with each other every day?"

Derek's spine suddenly stiffened, and his whole face instantly turned pale.

Bertha saw his reaction, she smiled and let go of the hand holding his chin, and then she turned around and went upstairs.

'Derek, a lifetime is too long, who knows what will happen, you can survive this year and then move on."

Derek knelt on the ground for a long time, Bertha's words from earlier still ringing in his ears.

Can he endure the sight of her and another man being intimate with each other every day?

The answer is he can't do it.

He stayed in the living room for a long time and gradually thought carefully.

Bertha didn't believe he was remorseful, so, he would prove it to her.

He obediently cleaned up the dishes on the table before returning to his room to take a shower.

As soon as he entered the bathroom, when he took off his pants, he discovered two small bags falling to the floor, making a very soft sound.

Derek bent down to pick it up and saw that it was two bags of sugar to put in his coffee.

He didn't care, maybe during the day when he made coffee, he put it in his pocket, put it on the nightstand, and then continued to take a shower.

After showering, he came out wearing a bathrobe. He had just dried his hair when Bertha's voice rang out from downstairs. 'Derek, please go to the office."

He immediately changed clothes, went downstairs, and opened the office door, he saw Bertha still sitting in front of the computer working.

Because she drank red wine, her small face was pink and her eyes were clear.

Seeing him enter, Bertha spoke in a low voice. 'Go make me some coffee."

It's late, is she still drinking coffee?

Derek frowned, advising her to stop. "You drank alcohol tonight, you should rest early. Drinking coffee in the evening and staying up late is bad for your health."

Bertha frowned and looked at him coldly. 'Go quickly."

The talent show will end the day after tomorrow, she plans to broadcast the final session live.

So in these two days, she must complete the plan, because she doesn't feel secure about letting someone else do it.

Derek saw determination in her eyes, she had always been decisive, and once she made up her mind, it wouldn't be easy to change.

'How long do you want to stay up, I will stay up with you."

Derek turned around and went downstairs to the kitchen.

He leisurely finished making coffee and discovered that the sugar jar was empty.

Remembering that he had two bags of sugar in his room, he returned one bag to his room and put it in the coffee cup tray.

Bertha was very focused on the computer screen. Derek put the coffee cup next to her hand and turned around to go out. After closing the door, he leaned against the door, staying up with her.

About half an hour later, there was suddenly an unusual gasp in the office.

Realizing something was wrong, he opened the door and entered.

There is no one in front of the computer on the desk.

'Bertha?"

Derek's face changed color, he went to check on the panting coming from under the desk.

He suddenly lifted the tablecloth and saw Bertha curled up in the cramped space, her face unusually pink.

He sat down and gently touched her neck with his hand and saw that her whole body was very hot.

This status…

The coffee on the table was half drunk, and the sugar packet in the tray had been torn apart, he remembered Mrs. Victoria when he went to visit her in the hospital a few hours ago and he immediately understood what was going on.

He picked Bertha up from under the table.

Feeling the cold body pressing comfortably against hers, Bertha was under the influence of drugs, and for the first time, an indescribable thought appeared in her mind.

She hugged the man's neck tightly, the smell of male hormones urging her to do things she shouldn't do.

Derek hugged her back to the bedroom. He felt the woman in his arms keep moving. He was afraid of hurting her so he was gentler.

'Bertha, just hang on a little longer, very soon, you will be fine."

Hearing a familiar voice, Bertha tried to stay awake and looked up.

When she saw that it was Derek, she was extremely angry, she tried to control her thoughts, and she raised her hand and slapped him in the face.
