Chapter 75

1050words
Laura raised her head while mixing the salad. She tilted her head to look at Mrs. Darla full of challenges.

Mrs. Darla said, her tone filled with contempt. "Children born from a third person are truly despicable, you can't escape them for the rest of your life. Even if you are in a high position now, you can't forever have something that doesn't belong to you."

Having said that, Mrs. Darla immediately left, she didn't even look back, and didn't care about Laura, to avoid making her angry.

Laura saw Mrs. Darla's calm expression, and she had some doubts in her heart.

Olwen suddenly disappeared, but Mrs. Darla didn't have the slightest trace of worry or insecurity.

This made her feel like something wasn't right.

Thinking that, Laura coldly glanced at Mrs. Darla. "I'm just a little injured, I'll be discharged from the hospital soon, but your daughter is pitiful, after all, she has already left this world forever."

Her victorious appearance made Mrs. Darla gradually become panicked and afraid.

"What did you say?"

Mrs. Darla ran toward Laura, grabbing her collar. 'You tell me clearly, what is wrong with my daughter?"

"Do you have a problem with your ears?" Laura threw her hand away, filled with hatred. 'I said your daughter no longer exists in this world, because Olwen, she is dead."

"No way. You lied. You deceived me. My daughter is living very well, why did she die? You deceived me, you were jealous of Olwen so you cursed her."

Mrs. Darla was agitated, she pointed her finger at Laura's face, she was so angry that her fingers were shaking.

"She's just a vegetable, no threat at all, why should I be jealous of her." Laura quipped.

"If you don't believe it, ask the person who took her away. Olwen's death has nothing to do with me."

Mrs. Darla covered her ears with her hands and screamed, then she ran out in excitement.

Laura laughed loudly when she saw her running out of her room

Originally, she was still a bit suspicious of what Karlina said, but now seeing Mrs. Darla, she can finally be sure that Olwen is dead, and no one will compete with her to be the heir to Greer's house anymore.

In the end, she won.

Now that both Bertha and Olwen are dead, there is no one left who can come between her and Derek, and no one left to stop her on her path to fame and fortune.

Laura felt extremely comfortable in her heart.

She used a fork to spear a piece of salad and put it in her mouth, the corner of her mouth still smiling.

After just two bites, she put the salad on the bedside table and then lifted the blanket.

The maid rushed to help her. 'Mistress, what do you want to do?"

"Discharge from hospital."

Laura said, her tone was extremely determined. With the help of the maid, she sat down in the wheelchair and then left the hospital room.

Mrs. Darla came out of the hospital. She quickly told her private driver to drive her to Venn's villa.

It was late at night, and the stars added to the romance of the quiet night scene.

She angrily rushed into the yard, waking up the housekeeper and the maids who had already gone to sleep.

"It's very late. If you have something to do, wait until tomorrow morning and come find Mr. Venn." The butler, looking sleepy, came out to greet her, and at the same time, he tried his best to speak politely.

"I don't need to know. I must see my daughter today." Mrs. Darla aggressively pushed the housekeeper away. 'Tell me, where is my Olwen?"

"Please keep your voice down a bit, your noise will wake up the others, please leave." The housekeeper saw that Mrs. Darla's mood seemed agitated, so he immediately told the maid to stop her.

"What are you guys standing there for? Come here." Mrs. Darla turned her head and shouted at the bodyguards behind her.

While the bodyguards and maids were struggling, Mrs. Darla jostled and rushed inside the villa.

She raised her head and saw that the light on the third floor was still on, so she hurried up.

Venn was standing at the third-floor staircase and saw Mrs. Darla, before he could say anything, she aggressively grabbed his sleeve.

"Where is my daughter? I want to see her now."

Venn frowned, pulled his sleeve out of her hand, adjusted the sleeve a bit, and then spoke. "Be quiet for a moment. She is currently being treated in a room on the third floor. You can rest assured."

"No, I have to see her now."

Not being able to see Olwen alive with her own eyes, she could not rest assured.

Bertha heard an argument outside, she went out to see and walked up to Mrs. Darla.

"When I took Olwen away, I said I would ensure her safety. You agreed at that time. Why did you come to disturb the villa in the middle of the night?"

Mrs. Darla saw Bertha, she immediately grabbed Berthay's hand. "I can't think about that much right now. I want to end my cooperation with you guys. Let me see Olwen now, I have to take her away."

Bertha frowned without speaking, and at the same time removed her hand.

"You are worried about your daughter, I can understand this, but please don't forget that you represent the whole Greer's house, is it possible that in business, Greer's house is such a promise breaker? I don't agree to let you take her away."

Mrs. Darla didn't know how to refute for a moment. In the end, she hugged her face and cried loudly.

"Anyway, if you don't let me see my daughter today, I'll die here. I'm not going anywhere."

Bertha was about to ask the maid to bring Mrs. Darla out when suddenly the maid who had always taken care of Olwen panicked and ran out of Olwen's room.

"Mistress, it's not over. Miss. Olwen's condition has worsened."

"What?"

Mrs. Darla heard clearly what the maid had just said. She pushed Bertha aside regardless and rushed into the room.

"How's Olwen? Let me come in and see her."
