Chapter 33

In the coffee shop.

Laura put on sunglasses and walked to the table with two roses.

Looking at the beautiful woman sitting opposite, she took off her sunglasses and gave a fake smile. 'Karlina, you looking for me?"

Karlina glanced, assessing her from top to bottom.

'Are you the illegitimate daughter of Greer's house, Laura Greer? The face is not bad, but it is far from the real mistress."

As soon as she opened her mouth, she mentioned the difference in status between the two of them. What does Karlina want?

Laura frowned slightly, feeling very uncomfortable in her heart, but still smiled and said. 'Karlina, if you called me here to insult me, then you don't have to."

She picked up her bag and was about to leave, but Karlina held her hand. 'Don't be angry, let's talk about the main thing, you hate your fiance's ex-wife, right?"

Hearing the mention of Bertha, Laura paused. "What do you want?"

'Because I don't like her either, I can help you destroy her."

Laura hesitated.

Karlina's family power cannot be underestimated. Laura agrees a bit, but Karlina's aggressive and arrogant way of speaking, she doesn't like.

If she accepts Karlina's help, she will be controlled by Karlina.

After thinking carefully, Laura sighed. "Sorry, Karlina, I'm just an unimportant illegitimate daughter of Greer's house. I almost fell into Bertha's hands many times. I'm afraid I can't win against her and can't help you."

She glanced at Karlina, whose face was bloodless, and stood up to leave.

"What about an illegitimate daughter? As long as you agree to cooperate with me, I will help you gain your position, becoming the sole heir of Greer's house."

Laura's eyes shone brightly, but there was a cruel glint in her eyes.

"Agree."

After work ended, Bertha slowly drove to the small villa located on the Bay.

She looked dumbfounded at the unchanged landscape outside the car window, suddenly feeling sad, but it turned out that she still kept that image in her heart.

The guard knew she was coming, so he didn't stop her.

She walked straight through the garden, pushed open the door, and entered.

There was no lawyer in the living room, only Derek dressed in black, with his long, slender legs crossed, he sat arrogantly on the sofa enjoying a cup of premium black coffee.

Bertha wasn't surprised to see him here either.

Merely…

She wore high heels and walked towards him.

When she got closer, she saw that Derek's originally handsome face was now not in good shape, especially the edges of his eyes, which were especially obvious.

She couldn't help but giggle.

Although it didn't affect his appearance, she had known Derek for so many years, and this was the first time she saw his ghost-like appearance.

'It looks like you worked hard."

Derek's face became darker and darker as he looked up at her: "Miss. Bertha's words became more and more cruel."

"Of course." She crossed her arms, her eyes cold. 'You don't deserve me to talk to you in peace."

Derek frowned, he stood up and walked around the tea table, his long legs quickly approaching her.

Bertha was prepared, knife in hand, leaning to get away from Derek.

Then his hand reached out and grabbed her shoulder, and Bertha took a few steps back, kicking the man between the legs with her foot.

Derek had a feeling something was wrong, he took a few steps back, catching her slender ankles.

Cadell, who was outside in the garden, heard a noise in the room. He gently poked his head in to look and saw the two of them fighting.

What kind of situation is this?

Cadell was stunned, looking at Bertha's fierce face like he wanted to beat Derek to death.

Derek only defends and does not attack, the situation is very dangerous.

Cadell sighed.

What an evil woman.

He was afraid that the next second he would see his boss bleeding profusely.

Cadell tried to control his urge to give advice. He covered his ears and looked away.

Two people in the living room fought twice.

The first time Bertha couldn't hit, but after a long fight, her physical strength was basically unable to resist Derek, and wearing high heels was extremely inconvenient, so she was pushed towards the wall without even noticing.

Derek smiled faintly, grabbed her left wrist, and pressed it against the wall.

This time Bertha had experience, and knew he intended to hold her hands, and put them on the wall, while he was distracted to shake her left hand, with her right hand, she pressed the hidden button on the ring, and it shot out a silver needle.

Derek was unprepared and was forcefully shot in the throat by the silver needle in her grandmother's emerald ring.

Fortunately, a while ago, her second brother gave her this ring to protect herself at any time. Although the needle is small, the material is extremely hard.

The two of them seemed frozen in place.

They were so close that they could feel each other's breath.

Derek's throat was bleeding, and the collar of his expensive white shirt was quickly stained red, like a small poppy flower in full bloom.

He frowned. "You so cruel?"

Bertha smiled coldly. 'For a vile man like you, I must be evil."

Derek's thin lips curled slightly, then he moved closer.

He didn't believe she dared to kill him at the villa.

'If you dare come even one step closer, I will make a slit on your neck. If you don't believe it, just try it."

Her words were light and airy, but Derek could see the cruelty in her eyes.

He chuckled softly, let go of her hand, and took two steps back.

Bertha got free, gently rubbed her left wrist, and went past him to get the transfer papers from the coffee table.

She read it through once, then picked up the pen next to her and signed the two transfer papers without hesitation.

Then she grabbed a piece of paper and left, without looking back.

Derek looked at her back, he raised his hand to touch her throat, no one knew what he was thinking.
